I actually had a gum eraser that worked pretty good at erasing. But I lost that last year.:cross-eye

I could tell you who the voice in your head you need to worry about the most is, Kylie, but you wouldn't like it.

Gum erasers are overrated...sure, they're moldable and all, but they work about as well as a regular pencil eraser...which I actually have more control over, anyway, since it's on a convenient stick and not in a blob...

That's where I disagree. A simple item, no matter the value shouldn't necessarily get in the way of your life. Its not going to make things any better by being sad. If you replace the item then at least you'd have something to create a fresh start from.
