Simon: Yea, Inuyasha's mother was a mortal human. And Sesshoumaru's mother was like a queen/princess something like that (I think that's what she was...).

And it's strange how they never showed his mama. Does it tell what happened to her (like she died or anything)?

I have no idea. o______O; All I know is, she died before Sesshomaru ever got to really know her since in the third movie it shows that he always was reliable on his father, so I'm guessing his mother died when she gave birth to him. o.o

I have no idea. o______O; All I know is, she died before Sesshomaru ever got to really know her since in the third movie it shows that he always was reliable on his father, so I'm guessing his mother died when she gave birth to him. o.o

Ok so that'd be why she never showed up in the show (even in flash backs). But what I'm wondering now is, if she died at childbirth then how come she's in the manga (even if it's a flashback). I bet Myoga knows (because I think that's where I got the queen/princess thing from).

Hmmmm... Then I dunno. Either way, I don't think any Inuyasha sites have any backround info about Sesshomaru's mother. But she was a princess, leading to how Sesshomaru became a Lord of the Western Lands.

Sesshoumaru's mother is never seen, named, nor mentioned in the series. The only thing known about her is that she was a full-blooded youkai (most likely a powerful one). Sesshoumaru's poison abilities and moon mark are often attributed to his mother, but at the moment is not even known if she was an inu youkai herself - for that matter, she could still be alive.

Maya, I don't believe she is alive in the series. See how Sesshomaru only lived with his father? I think that's because when he was little, he only had his father as a living relative. In the third movie, it shows that Sesshomaru had a strong bond with his father. Then again, it's just a pure guess. o____O;
