ahh well i broke up yesterday. I hate the last few days before christmas there say annoying. But today i am getting my hair done so i am not too bothered about today. Being on the PC makes time fly by too..

In the US, we "break up" with a girlfriend or boyfriend. I've never heard it used another way. o_O
When we go on break, I usually say "my last day was today" or "we're on break today", ect. I usually don't use the word break as a verb. o_O

I'm on Winter Break starting today. 8D ...but now I have too much work to do. T_T</3

Here we call the holidays "break" and ALSO use it in the context of girlfriend/boyfriends, as Sammi described. And, yeah, good point Kevin XD;
