I've noticed excessive bloom with certain studios. Mostly in terrible shows aimed at 14 yearolds with tumblr acounts though so I'm pretty safe.

All bloom in anime really does is just adding more soft gradients to get ruined by video compression. Which is quite irritating. :P

I don't really multitask with anime. Especially when it has subs (which is part of why I go dubs when possible). Unless they're things I'm rewatching just because, but even then I only really get the freedom to move do other things when I'm watching dubs.
