[Theory] do humans lay eggs

i think technically they are ya

Because I think if they are classed as Pokemon then they might lay eggs too. All Pokemon (excluding genderless) breed via an egg so it'd make sense if people, descended too from Mew, would also be egg laying pokemon

Instead of waiting 9 months to give birth, humans who reproduce by laying eggs, must travel a certain distance via the babysitter while being kept in an incubator, promoting well growth of the newborn inside the egg. After travelling a certain distance, the eggs will be cracked by itself and ta-da! The baby human. There's also difference in these humans, as proven that humans who hatched from a rather far distance seems to be growing well better than those who has travelled a short amount of distance. Hopefully there's more to come.

It would only make sense if humans in this world laid eggs instead of having live births.

Them eggs can only be developed by fertilisation. It's human with human, after all.

If you're talking about eggs getting impregnated, then no. As you know, the baby has to form inside an egg to successfully have complete set of organs like a normal human. And the requirement of laying an egg for a human depends on the age, female human must be 18 years old and above to lay an egg that withhold a new baby inside. Those younger than that have potential risks of danger giving birth because they can't handle the pain, or the baby having incomplete set of human organs due to short of requirements of giving birth.

(Tbh, I seriously have NO IDEA what I'm talking about)

i will cite the birthing thread for this and i think we did conclude that humans CAN mate w pokemon
ok that's it, this section has gone off the handle completely

On-topic: no I don't think humans in this universe "lay eggs". Nothing in any canon media has pointed towards that.
