Do you do you gaming business where you do your erm, "business"?

My brother basically spends HOURS stuck in the bathroom playing on his PSP, while doing erm. It's so gross, and then the whole house is filled by the erm smell.
When I take my DS, I go there because it's quiet and peaceful. (: I usually read books in the toilet, though.

Well, I definately don't. Just imagine all the germs going on the handheld when you do that, and that's assuming you're washing your hands.

Some people don't even do that. O_O

I think that as long as said console isn't being touched during erm, tidying up afterwards, and hands are washed before playing again, it's not that unsanitary. But is it a bit weird if I have brought my Nintendo 64 in to the bathroom with me?

Still, it's a bit weird that there are so many people who DON'T play Pokemon while on the toilet. I really like doing it myself and I don't see how it's unsanitary, unless one is not washing their hands/touching down there without tissue.... But why would anyone do those things anyway? THAT'S effing gross, not playing your handheld while on the crapper. It's pretty much the same as reading ( a newspaper/book/kindle ) while going, and people have been doing that for years....

Also, it's only slightly weird that you've brought an N64 into the restroom with you, but only because I can't figure out how you've played it... unless you have a TV in your bathroom?

I'm entertained at how people are avoiding saying certain "terms". XD

Am I allowed to actually be a little confused as to why is everyone finds it so gross and unsanitary? At least I'm not completely alone here, but still. I mean, it's not as if playing your DS while taking a crap is gonna expose it to any more germs it wouldn't normally be exposed to. Your butt is facing down on the toilet. Your DS is in your still clean hands above that toilet. If you're gonna point out the germs in the air or whatever, then lemme point out that all of you is being exposed to all that; you don't jump into the shower and change your clothes after going to the bathroom. Whatever "terrible" germs you'll get while there, you'll still have even after leaving and picking up your DS wherever you left it.

And it's not as if I'm gonna touch my DS any point between wiping and washing my hands, that's just terribly gross in general.

I mean, it's all fine and dandy if you don't do so just because you don't want to, but I don't see it being unsanitary as a legit excuse.
 
I mean, I typically take care of business first, and turn on the fan. Problem solved.

I'm... a pretty unsanitary person, though, so I doubt this'll be high on the list of "Things That Are Killing Shanghai."

Everytime this topic is made anywhere there always have to be a bunch of people saying "Ewww! That's gross!" and calling everybody that does it weird.

Personally, I don't see the problem. If you're that worried about getting dirty, you have a lot bigger things to worry about. lol.

These people act as if everybody who takes a handheld gaming console with them in the bathroom drops it in the toilet after... *avoids saying term*.
 
i do it from time to time but not all the time, i wash my hands and dry them, then pick ds or sp back up and continue to play after that, but the only time i do that is if i plan on playing alot in one day or have a bunch of things to do in order and i dont want to forget the order.
 
I bring my DS to the toilet but only because I don't want to leave it unattended (and usually I need to hurry to the toilet so I don't have time to put it away), and because my parents don't really know I have one.

Playing it in the toilet is just unhygienic, so no. No, wait. Actually, I don't play it because going to the toilet for me takes very little time, so bringing it in just to play it for a few seconds (then having to clean your butt, flush the toilet and wash your hands) is kind of useless.
 
Ah~ I feel better. I was worried I just went on a random tirade there for no reason. At least some people are reading it. XD I just really didn't get what was so weird about it and didn't want to be viewed as some disgusting, unhygenic person (and I'm sure anyone else who brings their DS to the bathroom could agree that they don't want that conception).

@Archer: Yep. Seems like an Australian term. And yeah, I had a bit of a wall of text going on there. >.>

I agree with everything here. ( But I've already posted on the first page with a similar response so I won't repeat myself. )

When it comes to playing your DS on the loo, I think it's perfectly fine to mix business and pleasure. ​
 
Well I can't sweeties. XD My Game Boy/GBC/GBA/GBASP/DS/DSi don't follow me to the bathroom. I can't game while doing my business.
 
Due to "aim" problems, I don't urinate and play my DS at the same time. It'd get messy. xD

I have carried my DS with me to the restroom while I use the toilet, but not often.
 
im no germ-a-phobe so yes i'll take handheld games to the bathroom with me and play once the system is a few months old. for example it'll probably be 5 months after i get my 3DS before i take it into the bathroom
