I always tell myself I'm going to start proof reading my posts, but by the time I've finished my next post it's almost instinctual for me to just click 'Submit Post'. I tend to have to go back and edit it manually which I hate because it leaves 'Edited By..', which I realize is completely trivial but it'll never fail to get under my skin.

I have enough faith in my language skills to not feel the need to check if I have typos.

I tend to write posts and make many mistakes, because of it, I've become a person who re-reads to make sure every sentence makes sense and there isn't a large typo that is extremely noticeable. It's a habit that will never die hard. After I have posted it, I also read through it once again then edit any as fast as I can if mistakes are made as it does irritate me if there "Edited By..." at the bottom of the post. If I know there's not enough time normally I leave it, but if it bugs me I just have to suck up the edited by and do it anyway.

Yes, though sometimes I won't spot some tiny mistake, and later on I'll go read an old thread that I made a post in and catch it, then edit it. :P

And other times, even though I usually read over my post once or twice, I sometimes spot a mistake while waiting for it to post, and then I quickly edit it when the page loads again.

I learned a lot from this one site that would ban you for bad grammar and spelling, as you have to learn or be banned. :P

Edit: Also, you forgot to capitalize the first word in the title....... :o

I proof read all of my posts 10 times over, and half of the time I end up actually deciding not to post it.

I do proofread them every time, editing my post immediately to correct errors I didn't see while I was composing it.

I try to proofread posts often, but occasionally errors remain. Other times I have a change in thought and want to change word choice or something. So I constantly have to click the "Edit" button, it seems. I probably only have 1 to 2 posts where I didn't have to edit them. Even if it's a few days later, if I spot an error in a post, I tend to fix it... :cer_laugh:

The "Edited By" notice doesn't really bother me, unless the time differences are extreme (i.e., message posted on Tuesday afternoon, edited on Friday evening)...

    Just leave me behind, Captain..

I saw this before it was edited, what a strange edit...... :O

But yes, Captain Grammar Enthusiast is here. :D

Of gcourse, if I sdiopn;t go back and prooof read and corredct any typeos I makes, you'll end up with posts that look like this and nobody wants that. D:

[EDIT] It's funny how I intentionally left my typos in this post, but it's significantly more obvious in the first half of that sentence than that second half. XD

I sometimes do, but not always.

So I will make some errors.

Rarely do I proof read. I usually read through it after the fact and make alternations to noticeable changes.

Gosh I always forget to re-read my posts. And I usually have to edit my posts to fix typos. Occasionally I word phrases incorrectly and need to change to whole post >.<
