Do you remember the first episode you watched?

I remember the talk at school about Pokemon coming to the US but i missed the first 2 episodes and I ended up catching the 1st episode where Ash catches his first pokemon in episode 3.

Mine was Ready, Willing, and Sableye, a filler episode from early Hoenn that I watched when I was six years old, I think. I remember being really confused as to who Team Rocket were because I wasn't familiar with them (I had only played Sapphire at the time), and had also never seen a Meowth before. Since Team Rocket didn't interact with the main characters or any Hoenn Pokemon for a couple minutes, I initially thought the broadcaster had accidentally switched to another show, haha.

I had watched from start until the end of Sinnoh League, and after that I had not really watched much because the repeated episodes were coming on TV.

I also noticed that how younger Ash Ketchum got as the generation progresses !

I don't know. I watched Pokemon XYZ and Indigo League a metric crap ton as a little kid and had Netflix, so those are both full of nostalgia. I don't remember anything in particular, though. Just that I watched a lot of both. I also watched like the first episode of Sun and Moon and instantly hated it. Went back to XYZ. Gen 6, even though I've never played any official games, has a lot of nostalgia from the anime and a pokemon guidebook with every pokemon up to XY, as well as megas. Man, I wish I still had that book.

My first episode was S1 EP1, I Choose You. I was actually how I got introduced to the Pokemon franchise, my dad brought it up on some bootleg site one day on our ancient laptop. I didn't like it at first and thought it was too scary, but I eventually came around and ended up really enjoying it.

I didn't like the anime as a kid, but I do remember Haunter Versus Kadabra on account of the scene of Sabrina keeping Brock, Misty, and her Mom as dolls. That gave me the willies for sure.

The very first episode of the entire franchise is where I started my Pokémon journey.

The Battling Eevee Bros.--I remember choosing Vaporeon to evolve my first Eevee in Blue because of that episode.

I remember the exact moment! I was 6 years old, at my grandma's house, playing with my cousins and running around, when suddenly we got tired and stopped in the living room. The TV was on, and episode 17 of Indigo League (Island of the Giant Pokemon) was playing. Even some of the adults were watching with us. It felt so surreal and unlike anything I'd ever seen, and just instantly caught my eye. It's the only episode in the anime (that I can remember) where the Pokemon talk, albeit via subtitles, and it only added to my amusement. It wasn't my first anime overall, but it came close (2nd).
When I got home that day, I instantly searched for more. I still don't really know what made little me love it so much, but I'm glad it did :)

Pikachu, I choose you. I watched the very first episode of Pokemon where Ash built a friendship with Pikachu.
My favourite, though, is the one where Charizard actually finally obeyed Ash and see Ash as worthy of being its trainer.
