I think comedians are usually really bad people to take advice from because the majority of them are really cynical and borderline like nihilistic but that's obviously a bit of a generalization. you can listen to whomever you want really. am I wrong

It's great to hear you guys are doing well! I'm really glad.

As for me, things are going great and looking up! I just got a job at a big company, and it fits pretty neatly with my personal schedule and pursuits. Unfortunately I can't say where, though. (nondisclosure agreement, sorry!)
Other than that, I've been told that my singing has really improved. Which is pretty damn cool since I'm wanting to release an album this year and that means I might be able to do the vocals myself.
Oh, and someone gave me an awesome trunk as a gift when they heard I needed one. AW YEAH.

I sing too, actually. It's a lot of fun. As of recent my voice has gotten rather refined, and now I'm working on my range a bit more. I sound amazing with lower frequencies but like crap with higher ones... lol

I'm also trying to work on a résumé as well, and my mother and I are looking at apartments in Cary, which is the really nice part of greater Raleigh and is supposedly populated by snoods. We're not definite on anything though, as much as I want to move. Who knows, though - Kris really wants this house back and I want a nicer quality of life. Garner sucks.

Some of my favourite songs to sing are by Alice in Chains... though I like to sing Pink Floyd. Kansas, and Boston as well. I Stay Away and Down in a Hole are my two favourite AiC tracks to do, Kansas' Carry On My Wayward Son and Boston's Peace of Mind, along with Pink Floyd's Hey You and Wish You Were Here are other liked ones of mine.

I like to sing the Rooster or Dirt when I feel daring too.

Went rooting through my office and came across some weird articles and poems I wrote myself. I looked at them and wondered what the hell I was thinking at the time here's what I'm talking about:

"I wonder at all the
time I've wasted drowning in
the tub and think I'm doing
all right."

What? Does anyone else have random notes lying about the place?

I don't do notes since I'm not that old school, but sometimes I'll have really random thoughts...

Earlier I recalled someone I knew that was counting on me, they were my hokai, and I completely forgot who they were... when I remembered I was like fuck

My face got so red at that.

"A girl strips in my mind, squeezes out my last thumping drop of hope, then rolls me over to sleep alone."

Spoiler:

I've always assumed that it was pretty much universal for creative people to go through a melodramatic phase. I did. Most of the people I know did, too.

You're a singer? That's amazing!! Keep hunting that dream of yours. Good luck with it!! I'm sure you're going to do a great job. =)

Hey, thanks a lot, pal! I really appreciate your support. :D

Sadly for me, my family managed to ruin my day at this moment. I just had an arguement on the dinner, I just don't know how to handle some things. Even when somebody says "I want to throw you away."

Ah, I'm sorry to hear that. Stay positive, though! A good smile can get you through the toughest of times!

That's awesome! What kind of genre do you sing? Do you play other instruments, or will the album be electronical?

Then your probably a bass, haha. Your training falsetto? Or are you trying to get higher with your normal voice?

I don't really sing at all, since I am terrible and my voice is crappy. I do whistle and make noises of the tunes of classic Sonic zones.

Well that's a start, haha.

I myself sing too, mostly acoustic music or punk/rock. I sing in a band called "2011 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship".

odamn i wish we were still talking about the DILF tony abbott instead we are talking about singing.. there is a song called whistle do u see where i am going with this

ok byE

I'm personally enjoying the meltdown Greece is experiencing right now. Syriza, the major opponent to New Democracy's government, had a major rally last night, much like most of the parties, but none of the channels allowed for it to be aired, unlike all the other parties. Even the crazies got 20 minutes for each channel, so its all one big obvious scare tactic that's got everyone in a tizzy. Elections are a scary time, especially here.

I can't sing but I still find great pleasure in doing it anyway. with regards to the melodramatic phase, I had a thing where whenever I thought of something to write I'd put it in the same place as everything else I've ever written so basically I have pages upon pages of song lyrics/poems from the past few years. they're all terrible, but I've noticed they're gradually becoming less melodramatic so that's good. they're mostly written when I feel like shit so I mean I think it's kind of justified...? REGARDLESS if I were to write actual lyrics for an actual song that's actually being performed I'd probably have the self-awareness to tone it down. (why did I write this much)

I'm a horrible singer, but I like to sing anyway. :3 I usually just sing in my own company but not very often. It's actually been quite a while since I last sung something out loud.. probably a few months or half a year or something.. I should change that!

I'm just like you, someone who only sings privately because I don't like getting embarrassed. It's a weird pet peeve I have, always wanting to do most stuff I like behind closed doors.

Mostly Rock music, nowadays. I've been trying to branch out and get better at singing Country, and Blues too, though. The album will probably be mainly Rock, with a bit of Blues mixed in, to taste.
As for instuments, I can play a Guitar and Bass, and I'm a harmoniciste as well. I'm looking to get an electric piano soon, too!

As you can probably tell, I've been at this for a while...

"2011 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship".

I'm not sure whether I love that name, or think it's strange. xD

Do any of you guys play any instuments? Any that you want to learn to play?

@The Phone Topic:
I have legitimately never broken a phone. Then again, I'm extremely careful with electrics. I'll always remember playing my old GBSP until that thing burned out, though... hahah.

I play exactly the same stuff as you, haha, although I'm only starting the harmonica, so I'm terrible. I own a keyboard, and although not a electric piano, is super handy to have. It was great when I was studying music theory, and amazing to have when you want to convert music to written down notes.

I think we have the possibility to be big by name alone.

I break phones on a yearly basis I think. Either dropped or washed, onces ran over by a car. That's why I don't do expensive ones.

I broke two phones of the same model of mine. And I'm about to buy my third of it.

Earlier today on our way to psychiatry we stopped to get some snacks since it was payday... to find our credit card was missing! Later on we found it was left at Wal-Mart, but while we were there this woman in a button-up suit bought our groceries that we would've gotten... she was cutting me looks so I swear by my thought that it was because of my physique. I had my best outfit on today, even.
