[Sword & Shield] Do you still play

I haven't finished the games. Currently exploring the dlc areas.

Welp. I missed my Switch way too much, so I got back Pokemon Sword and the Switch.
It's...
I can't get myself past badge 3. It's a real chore just to get to the town with badge 4. It really is a somewhat boring game.
I'm sorry Sword/Shield fans.
This also solidifies my decision NOT to get the other Pokemon Switch games. I really don't know. *shrug*

Last time I picked up the game I made it past gym 3. I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one that felt that way.

I restarted my progress because I didn't like the team I built, and I may start with another starter.

Nowadays I "play" the game like it's one of those fashion dress-up games, putting my trainer in all sorts of cute and stylish outfits. It's by far the best aspect of the game.

But as far as actually engaging in Pokemon battles, it's been a long time. And given my extremely strong dislike of certain characters in the game, I'm not particularly motivated to play through it again.

But hey, at least I can make my character look good in it.

[PokeCommunity.com] Do you still play

I've recently started doing the Max Lair Dynamax Adventures again in the hopes of finding a few shiny Pokémon. Zekrom is still the only shiny legendary I've gotten out of it so far.

I got Sword last year (got Shield on release day) to get Zacian since it is my favorite legendary, so I "replayed" the story last year (save for the DLC, as I wasn't going to shell out money for DLC on Sword when I already had it on Shield). Recently I got back in Scarlet to finish the Scarlet DLC and have gone back to Sword and Shield a few times to catch some of the legendaries I missed. I actually played Shield today.

Playing it, I really miss the character customization (although I do not like the goofy outfits and helmets they put on when you get on the bike). It's one thing I miss so much with S/V. It feels like aside from some small neat features to customize the face, they really took all feminine customization away from us. No skirts, no dresses, all of the hairstyles are short. It makes me sad. Everyone looks the same. I also miss Galarian Rapidash so much. I can't stand this untransferrable Pokemon thing. At the very least, they could build up the dex throughout a system's release, and thus at the end of the system, every Pokemon released so far on the system, could be transferred over to the "final" Pokemon games on the system, but they didn't even do that. Galarian Rapidash is my favorite Pokemon and I'm so sad.

This is so true! I really agree with that. When they announced that we were going to be at school, I was already guessing that character customization would have been limited, but at least it might be an only gen 9 thing. I think that Galar and Kalos have a nice character customization. I don't even like the basic character design of SV protagonists, so that was honestly not the best for me as well.

And I also agree on not transferrable pokemon. Imo all games, at the end, should get to have all of the pokemon. It's a "monster collector" game, isn't it? what's the point if i can't actually have them all where I want to?

Anyway, I still need to catch some legendaries, so sometimes I go back to Galar. I honestly like these games. I spent several hours on them. I might replay them at some point too.

I think if the Online/COOP was much more enjoyable, I would've stuck around and played Scarlet/Violet a lot more. I never even ended up playing the DLC for Sword/Shield or Scarlet/Violet.

I will occasionally jump back on for some raids/shiny hunting. I loved the dens where you had such high odds for legendary shinies (got my first ever shiny legendary - Uxie). I think the game is still enjoyable, I just find myself diving into Pokemon through other avenues now. It is fun, though, to jump back in from time to time and try to remember where I left off.

If so what do you do in the game
No but I want to get back into raiding and buy the DLC so I can finally take Urshifu for a spin. I really liked some of the evo lines in these games like Corviknight and Toxitricity.
