    Is anyone here a fan of the games that star Donkey Kong and his characters?

    Or, have you played some games that star Donkey Kong (ie. Donkey Kong 64). If so, what Donkey Kong Games have you played, or at least heard about? Who are your favourite Donkey Kong characters, and what enemies do you enjoy from those games? What are your favourite types of OSTs from the game?

    I've played Donkey Kong (Arcade and GBA), Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2, Donkey Kong Country 3, Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing DS, Mario vs. Donkey Kong, and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Most of those haven't been for very long, though; I only own Donkey Kong Country 2. The Country games are by far my favorites, particularly 2 and Returns.
     
    Only DK games I've ever played are Donkey Kong Country, Diddy Kong Racing DS, and Donkey Kong Country Returns. Always wanted to try Donkey Kong 64, but never got the chance to. Planning to buy Donkey Kong Country: Tropic Freeze, but that won't be released until late February; I'd have to wait. d:
     
    I played Donkey Kong 64 and loved that game! It had a great story line for a Nintendo 64 game. I also played Diddy Kong Racing for the 64 as well and thought that game was awesome! I can't remember the name of the character, but I loved the turtle. It was a lot better than Mario Kart if you ask me.
     
    I've only played the original Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country Returns on the 3DS. I had a great time with both of those games and if Nintendo ever decides to release the older Donkey Kong games on the eShop I will buy them in a heartbeat.

    One of my favorite series, both arcade and Country games. Donkey Kong '94, Donkey Kong Country 2 and Donkey Kong Country Returns are absolute masterpieces. Can't wait for Tropical Freeze.
     
    I owned and loved every one of the DK Country games when I was a child. I even think that the graphics in those games are prettier than the modern "remake". I do enjoy DK Country Returns but don't really appreciate the weird hardcore difficulty nature it suddenly got.... For some reason, even though I owned a N64 I never had a copy of DK64 - but from what I understand it was pretty much a clone of Banjo Kazoiee?

    Anyway, my favorite characters were awlays Diddy, Dixie and Cranky - so I guess DK Country 2 was my favorite because of that. BTW, I think its funny how cartoon and video game characters get named after musical styles, like "Dixie" here or "Bebop" from TMNT, things you don't realize when you're a child but come as a weird surprise when you grow old - can't listen to jazz without thinking of monkeys and warthogs :p

    I don't know - it's been a couple of years since I played any of the SNES games "in depth", but I don't remember them being any more difficult than other games of the day. I also don't remember me rage quitting them, and I don't think I've gotten worse at playing platformers with age...
     
    I'm playing Donkey Kong Country 2 right now, and I definitely don't remember it being this tough, haha. Maybe it's because I haven't grown used to thee playstyle, but, it's just as fun as I remember it! Plus the music is really excellent!

    I'm so happy that Tropical Freeze is having a few remixes of the OSTs from DKC2 too! That said, as anyone seen some game play of it? I really love the music of the first boss; sooo amazing~ Although, I do question that if it's in place for a Donkey Kong game, with it's rock theme, teehee. But, I guess it's Viking Rock? o: Well nonetheless, it's really good! Maybe it fits.. because it doesn't fit. n_n
     
    I loved the Donkey Kong Country series and I played the NES and GBA parts of the series but, other than that I haven't played a DK game
     
    I've only played one game from the Donkey Kong series and that Donkey Kong 64. I actually miss playing that game, even though I remember it to be particularly annoying >.> After the story mode, I devoted a ton of time playing the rhino game XD
     
    I was never really a fan of Donkey Kong, actually.
    The only game I really liked from the series was one for the game boy color, one which I've forgotten the name to. . .
     
    I enjoy the Donkey Kong games. I've only played Donkey Kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing. both games were fun, but I liked donkey Kong 64 the most. I want to get my hands on the 3DS DK game as well as Donkey Kong country: Tropical Freeze on the Wii U.
