Exp share?

Gains Effort Values if they gain experience, according to Bulbapedia.
If any non-fainted Pokémon in the party holds an Exp. Share, the total experience earned when an opposing Pokémon faints is split in half, with 50% evenly distributed between all non-fainted Pokémon who participated in the battle and 50% evenly distributed between all non-fainted Pokémon holding an Exp. Share. In Generation III and IV, any Pokémon that gains experience also gains all EVs awarded from that battle; from Generation V onward, any Pokémon eligible to gain experience, even if they are level 100, gains all EVs awarded from that battle.

I can't add any more than Devalue has, but I've had experience (heh.) using the Exp. Share for EV training and it helps the process a lot. It helps a lot with underlevelled Pokemon, or when EV training two Pokemon at once, since the EVs aren't split between the Pokemon like experience is. The Pokemon in question both (or all) gain 100% of the EVs they normally would.

Yeah, it definitely helps. Easier than switching in/out if the Pokémon you're training isn't strong enough to take down what you need. 👍 Though not being able to turn Exp. Share off in recent games is a bit more tedious since I need to be extra careful of which mons I have in my party so their EVs aren't messed up, and that can be easy to forget sometimes. :x

I was wondering recently... Do pokemon trained with the exp share gain any EVs? I am training a competitive Gallade named Doom in gen IV, so idk if he is getting the proper up-bringing.

yup, and to confirm, I've used a game cheat to be able to view ivs and evs from the menu. So I've actually been able to see confirm the results are there.
