Ha! So you finally reveal some of your writing, Hanako! I swear, your stories are so elusive to me. :/ And Takeru's wallowing in depression again, is he? The poor guy. Bearer of hope indeed.

Anyway, as I said before, congrats on your Mod-dom, and I want to read your Digimon Nano sometime. ^_^

o.o Saff! *hugs* Welcome back. And thanks for the congrats! ^^

I know my writing is elusive. But I actually feel confident enough to actually post something now. You can see a bit more of the NaNo on my writing journal.

At some point, I hope to be able to write my Pokemon fics as well as I do Digimon fics. Since, you know, I've been writing the same Pokemon fic for eight years now, and still am not satisfied. I don't know what it is about my Pokemon fics to make them so inadequate. I don't know why I can write Digimon fics better. I just feel that way. :<

Wait. Wasn't I supposed to review some fics still? o_O Ugh. *runs outside to swing*

At night-time? Kinda dark, isn't it?

That's why God invented caffeine and why man invented a way to abuse it. *solemn nod*

Side note whine about NaNo, but why is it that after hitting the 10k mark, it seems to take so much longer to get another thousand words in a day? ;_;

It's also why Hanako sleeps until three in the afternoon if she can get away with it. *nods* Plus the fact that there was a small meteor shower helped. I always was a child of the night, and I preferred to be out in the wintertime.

Of course, now I'm cold. :<

Ah Jaxy, I noticed that last year. I was so happy to reach the 10,000 word mark, only to find that the words became increasingly difficult to get down. I just sat at my computer for a few hours wondering what the heck happened. Last year, I just couldn't get back into writing the fic. This year, I'm hoping that doesn't happen.

So cold. So very very cold.

Yes I know I need a shorter name... Call me Jack if you can't be arsed to type out President Showaddywaddy.

On to t'topic in hand...

Hanako, I do agree that grammar is important, and that t'first review of a story should focus on it. What I don't agree with, is no one helping t'writer develop t'story in other ways, eg. plot, characters etc. This has what's happened to me so far.

If this does occur, then t'author could spend hours fixing gramatical mistakes, only to find out that their story has an cookie-cutter plot, basic character description and a general lack of non canon stuff. So you end up with, a well written fic, no denying it, but one that's boring and uninteresting, which is just as bad, if not worse, than bad grammar.

This is just what I was getting at, and I didn't mean any disrespect to you or any other grammar anoraks out there.:)

Aww...but going by real names is so awkward. Can't we just call you pressykins instead? :3

Just kidding with the above sentence, of course. xD *Shot* Sorry, I come up with weird stuff like that sometimes, just can't help it. Feel free to give me a demeaning nickname of my own if you require reprisal; I'm used to those anyway. xD

There's a simpler reason for the grammatical leaning here too: grammar is a whole lot simpler than style. In grammar we have set, objective criteria for what is right and wrong and they can be enforced pretty much regardless of context. Style, on other hand, is a fuzzy borderline case if ever there was one; there are usually only 'recommended's and 'not recommended's as opposed to rights and wrongs to be found, so I think a lot of people shy away from it out of fear that they'll give faulty advice. D=

But no comment at all on the contents? I've got to agree that that is depressing. I'll try to do something about it, but seeing as how your fic has a whopping eighteen chapters it's going to take a while. Just thought I'd let you know that your fic is next on my list. :3 After that's done, I'm going to take a break from reviewing, though. I've got a prologue of my own to revise and a bunch of plot kinks to sort out (one and a half years of hard conceptualizing and I'll I've got show for it is an unrevised prologue. Lawl, my work ethic sucks. xD) and I can't do it with everybody else's fics swimming around in my head. xP

I leik pressykins better. xP. Anyway, some reviews for my revamped chapter 2 would be nice...

Yea I like ti better toooo..

What? Try to use English when your writing. Anyway, I think after Griff is done reviewing, I might get started on chapter 3 which is very overdue (It should've been posted thursday but I got no reviews!)

Fine, Pressykins will do. (It sounds like a name an old lady would give her 100th cat, when she's run out of other names :D). And by the way, Jack isn't my name. But the character Jack in my fic is based off me, which is why I suggested it.

ScytheMaster, I'll try and have a look at your fic soon.

I do! (Even though I already PM'd you.)

Oh, and I'm done reviewing your fic, Scythemater. It should be a better review next time.

Griff, your review was good. I think I'm going to wait for some more reviews from alter ego, hanako-chan or DP-Chan before I go on chapter three.

I honestly don't know whether I should be elated or disturbed by the fact that someone actually backed that silly nickname. xD

Seriously, Pres is nice and compact so it's prolly the best one, though of course if you prefer pressykins (Now that you mention it, it does sound like an old lady's cat. xD) far be it from me to deny you. ;3

...

Anyway, while we're still on the subject of nicknames I'm fine with Alter and AE if someone finds the full username too bothersome to type out. That's what most of the RPing crowd calls me anyway. ^^

And Scythe-kun, I guess I can add your fic to the list before my prologue since I've been sticking with it thus far. Review should be up today or tomorrow, depending on how long it takes me to finish with Pokémon UK.

Hey, Griff! I got your review and I will see if I can review the story. Warning though: it might be a while. I actually got an oceanography midterm to study. >.>

And I got a quick announcement: Seeing that my beta reader is taking a bit long, I decided to give her a bit more time. If she doesn't respond to me my Thanksgiving, then expect Chapter Two to come. I will try my best to proofread it, though. ^^;

Bay! =o If your beta doesn't make it in time for Thanksgiving, send your chapter over my way. I don't have class that Thursday (which I'm going to be all depressed about) so I'll have time to look it over.

Jack-Jack, Alter Ego pretty much said what I said about reviews. Grammar is pretty much "you're right, or you're wrong", but everything else is a matter of style. No one can really tell you that you're characters are wrong, unless they are an extreme case of a perfect character. It's kind of touchy in reviews with plot/description/characters if that's your style. But we can take a look and tell you how things are going. It'll just be a while, since you have so many new chapters that we haven't read yet.

As for nicknames, if "Hanako" is a pain to type you can just call me "Hans", like the classic writer. My best friend in real life calls me that, and he's not dead yet, so I don't mind it.

No. I leik Hanako-Chan better. NOW GO REVIEW MY FF NOW! xD. Just kidding, whenever you gots da time.
