Which of these three games do you like? I like final fantasy 7 more then the others.

Well… Final Fantasy 7 is the only one I still have, I completed 3 times.

I'm gonna have to go with FF8. I never actually played through 9 before, but I feel as though FF7 has way too much hype built up behind it, and not enough people actually pay enough attention to other games in the series because of it. Plus to be honest...I never actually liked it that much, and I could never really get into the story that backed it up ._.'

...Oh and plus FF8 had Seifer Almasy, who is by far, the most badass video game character ever.

    FF9!
It was such a huge improvement over the past 2 regarding equipments, and that alone made me happy (although 10 was a letdown regarding this.)

I loved the plot too, and the fantasy setting felt nostalgic and nice.

The only thing I hate is the WTF last boss which looks like Pepsiman.
Anyone would've expected Kuja to be the last boss... but wow...

    I'm quite the fan of the entire Final Fantasy series. Some highlights of coarse would be;

    • Final Fantasy: VII
    • Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII
    • Dirge Of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII
    • Final Fantasy: VIII
    • Final Fantasy: X
    • Final Fantasy: X-2
    • Final Fantasy: XII
But within the topic at hand, I'd have to say Final Fantasy: VII.

Out of them 3 my fav would have to be Final Fantasy VII. I think the game is over hyped, but none the less I loved the game. Sure FFX is my fav FF game, but VII had a good strong story none the less. I liked it better then 8, and as for 9..... well I kind of quit a few hours into the game.

Yeah, I quit pretty early into 9 myself, never could get into it.

My favorite in the series is actually 6, but out of these three it'd have to be 8. 8 had an amazing story, likable characters, and a very challenging combat system (enemies leveling up with you = awesome). 7 was good, but it's a bit overrated (especially Sephiroth, who was a pushover), and the weapons (Ruby and Emerald) were more annoying than I can convey over a forum.

I love 7 and 8, but for some reason I like 8 more. I never thought Squall was that annoying, or Rinoa, and the story on 7 is a bit shady. Sephiroth is better final boss than Ultimecia, though. They both have their sides, but I like the design and characters on 8 better. If only there was a Vincent in 8...

FF7 FTW! I never played the other ones though...

FFIX was the first Final Fantasy I played, so I went in without any real expectations. Needless to say, I thought it was friggin' amazing and I still love it even after playing the better ones. I think it's quite underrated, it may have had a pretty shabby plot, but all the characters were exceptionally well developed. Even though FFVII trumped it in terms of overall quality and enjoyment, FFIX has a special place in my heart. FFVIII was the one I never got interested in, it just didn't look enough like a "fantasy."

    Final Fantasy VII hands down.

I never really completed VIII and IX was kinda.. Odd in a way I guess, even though it was the first Final Fantasy I've played. XD; I kinda went backwards and played IX, then VIII, and lastly VII.

Who cares about graphics, VII was epic. :D

I've only played VII, but I plan to play both VIII and IX eventually. I have to say that VII is right up there with X as my favorite FF game - if the ending had been better and there hadn't been so many slow spots, I think VII would surpass it. The story and characters are still great even 11 years later, although the graphics haven't aged well at all.

I agree that the game is extremely overhyped though, but it's still one of the greatest games of all time.

I have never played FF9 so i can say that FF7 was my favorite game Ever.
even though the graphics weren't that good, the story and character development kept me up until 4:00 morning playing it.I could really feel empathy for the players and the music was just so great.
The game was near flawless to me, but i had a good time with FF8. The GF's were the most important thing for strengthening your characters and the idea that the enimies leveled up with you was pretty good too.

VIII. ♥ Not only is it my favourite Final Fantasy game, but it's my favourite video game of all time.

UNO; The characters were so well designed and developed so well over the course of the game. A notable example of such would be Quistis Trepe (who is also my favourite character, personally), and Seifer Almasy. The characters just seemed more realistic to me in this installment than in others (perhaps not in terms of appearance, but personality) - people who can be easy to relate to. They are (and really do act like) your typical teenagers, each with their own obvious flaws, adapting to constant changes in their environment.

DOS; The world this installment takes place in is beautiful. My favourite places would have to be the small town of Winhill and the garden shown in the intro FMV. While the graphics are nowhere near spectacular compared to video games of today, the settings look great, from your starting point at Balamb Garden, to the location of the final boss.

TRES; I'm going to admit it: I'm a sucker for those romantic dramas, and FFVIII is exactly that. It's not only a tale of sorcery and magic, but a story of romance. I also see it as a story of self-discovery, as each character comes to terms with who they are as people over the course of the game.

CUATRO; I know some people complained about the gameplay (notably the junctioning system) being too complicated, however, I rather liked it. Although it's not as easy to grasp as other systems - and I must admit, I prefer both FFVII's materia system and FFX's sphere grid system over the junctioning system - it still has its strong points. I actually like how you can "draw" magic from enemies instead of using MP - it makes magic much easier to find and use. Junctioning magic to various stats is essential to the development of your characters - and since it is much easier to find stronger magic in FFVIII, characters can become much stronger much earlier in the game.

    I know, I went a little go-hard with this post, but I really couldn't resist. ._.;;

I would rather get my thumbs ripped out, forever crippling me to play video games than to play those two horrible, mediocre games.

VII had a great story line, not going to lie. But I had a lot more fun with VIII and IX. I still find myself playing those two games and never getting bored of it.

No love for Final Fantasy I ~ VI? I like the characters from Final Fantasy VI since they all look westernized.
