Hey all! The calendar for the GT is all set now. If you have a problem with your date, NOW is the time to let us know! We've only got two days left til this begins, so you early starters should make sure you're all set for your big day!

When you are posting your event, please use one of the Category tags to indicate which day your event is for. There's 25 tags, so use them as your event comes up.

Check out the full calendar here and be sure your event is ready to go before your Day arrives!

    Thank you all so much!

If it isn't a problem, is it possible for Pokemon Hunts to be moved on Day 5?

As your event only lasts 7-10 days, the best we could do is move you to the 15th or 16th. There's not much need for it to start so early otherwise.

I guess I can roll with this. (: I need more kids to join this event, that was why we need to start as early as we can. The response to Hunts directly affects a future event. Thanks for understanding, Klippy.

The calendar mentions a Game Dev event occurring on Day 4, but the only Game Dev event is the one that lasts for the entirety of the GT.

Lots of people asked for events that last the whole GT but, due to the whole theme we have, some ended up having to start a few days in. Is the 4th ok?

The theme of the Get-Together is an advent calendar in which you "open" new things each day. We've placed events that want to last the entire GT as early as possible. It's why we're so light on content towards the back half of the event and so heavy towards the front. We've put events as close as possible to the start as we can, but we will need some slight cooperation on the dates.

Strategically we'd like three events per day, but we're obviously lacking content on a few days. This isn't a big deal, but we've tried to maximize most times for events that we can.

If you need something for towards the end of the gt I'd like to try and put together a little holiday sing-a-long caroling type thing which shouldn't be too demanding but would be neat. Kind of like how I wanted to do a pc sings last year but it never went anywhere since we couldn't agree on a song. Only since it's christmas our songs are more limited and I could just say "these are what we're singing" and then hand out verses to participants or something like that.

I love it. Please let me know a day you want and I'll definitely get it added for you!

Do we need to post our threads according to a certain time zone or is it ok to post when it reaches the day in our own time zones?

As soon as it hits in your time zone is fine. I won't force people to adhere to any timezone to make it as convenient as possible for you guys to get your threads out.

The Smite tourney is planned to take place on the 14th, is it ok if I post the thread a couple of days before so people can sign up?

Does anyone else see the problem with not announcing events before they happen? "If I'd known there was going to be a Secret Base design competition, I would have spent time earlier buying/earning all the decorations." "It's too bad I didn't know about karaoke night because then I wouldn't have made other plans." "I didn't log on to PC for just one day and it happened to be when that event I wanted to participate in happened." And so on.

I get your cutesy little idea about each day having a surprise happening, but I simply think it's a bad idea. Couldn't you have gotten your fix for this from the daily questions, and let people know about the schedule in advance? I think a GT should be more about participation and less "we're springing things on you at the last minute so you should lurk here for the whole month". It's not too late to change.

As much as feedback is great, you're saying this now when we're already on Day 3? ):

I haven't seen that issue so far, and since the majority of events are lasting at least a week and they're being promoted on social media people have found things pretty well. We'll probably do a Week 1 summary to link ongoing events in the Bulletin Board too.

The ridiculous thing being that we're giving people upwards of 20 days to compete and participate in each challenge. Not a single event in this entire Get-Together lasts a single day. Everything lasts to the end of the GT or for at least a week. We've even offered plenty of other people sign-up periods/advertising time (see: VGM Holiday Music Room, Smite tournament) as well.

We're giving people three-four weeks when a regular Get-Together is one week. The regular Get-Togethers don't have anything pre-announced.

If you have an issue with the setup of the Get-Together, feel free not to participate or include your event. We've had information about this available for more than a month and you complaining a few days into it is just silly. Don't be involved if you've got a problem.

Yes, my feedback is a little late, but it's still perfectly valid. No, I didn't realise that none of the events are time-sensitive (although the movie stream on the 19th might disagree with you there, and perhaps some other events). No, I don't appreciate you (Klippy) calling me "silly" for voicing my opinion, and basically telling me to go away without even first trying to resolve what I perceived to be a flaw in the programme.
