Gamzee had to be immortal so he could survive to be half-absorbed into Lil' Cal to make Lord English. If he died before then, LE couldn't exist, since he's a combo of Caliborn, Gamzee, and ARquiussprite.

Buuuuut, if AR, Gamzee and Equius are great rappers and Dave is the one that will take down LE, does that mean the final battle will be the best, most important rap battle in History? With help from squarewave and sawtooth? Like the poster in Dave's room, way in the second act, that read "you'll be glad you made us" with squarewave and sawtooth? Not to mention they are zilly weapons now too.

I think that the finale of Homestuck will be different from the masterpiece... I feel he'll just pull a Vriska on us and we see the kids defeating LE and make the universe? I think the masterpiece was more of a LE origin story, and is a paradox...

I'm wondering when exactly it's going to take place relative to the main story though, since supposedly all of Alternia is gone by the time the 12 enter the game.

But there isn't goofy AU stuff going on. So it does take place some time pre-2009 on Earth, and pre-present day on Alternia."

It takes place in the 90s Earth (possibly 1993) and before The Condesce killed all of her heiresses except Feferi, in Alternia.

Answer current topic: Oh wow, the final update is tomorrow? I wish I got into HS earlier. I heard the name floating about the Internet and saw avatars of the characters, but never really knew what it was. A friend of mine only convinced me like a few days ago. (It's also funny how I share the same birthday with John.)

I think the joke was that Caliborn's claymation fighting sequences were so vague and crappy, that although it wasn't Caliborn's intent, they were meant to possibly be interpreted as sexual by Andrew. Worth remembering that Caliborn thinks human reproduction is disgusting.
