From now on Dragon,Steel,and Dark are only allowed to be used by H.O.F.ers.

Welll since i had started out earlier i hjad just gotten cyndaquil
and i went and did the usual stuff caught 5 caterpies :)
and hacked to catch an aerodactyl
then i had traded 3 dratinis 1 SHINY bwahhahaah!!! charmander (:))
and a magikarp
and i took some time to train them to lv 10 :)

Detailed Progress So Far::
So I basically walked around the Ilex Forest some more, training my three main pokemon so they could become stronger. And eventually I left the forest to head to the next town, Goldenrod City. I battled the trainers on Route 34 and defeated them without a problem. I obtained Gina and Todd's phone numbers and headed over to the actual city where the next gym was located. I also obtained the "Mysterious Egg" and began to carry it around.

I walked around the town a whole lot, traveling from one house to another to see what each person inside had to offer me. I went down to the underground and battled trainers there, I also went over to the house way north of Goldenrod and spoke to the guard inside of it who wanted me to go all the way to Route 31 so I could deliver his pokemon with a letter to the sleeping fat guy. I did that, taking my precious time as I moved. Training Magicittso as I went to do that simple task, and on my way there, he evolved into Gyradoes and learned the move bite. [Finally!] Also Puff learned her first grass type move leech seed [Thank goddness].

I handed the fat guy the pokemon and he gave me the TM Nightmare. Then I went back to Goldenrod City, happy with my new TM [that I can't use] and extremely happy with my Gyradoes. <3 And when I got to Goldenrod City, I went to Route 35 to battle the trainers there, that way I could get myself ready to battle the third gym leader. And then I went back down to Goldenrod City so I could go to the Gym and battle cry baby Whitney [who shouldn't be a gym leader] and her followers.

After winning the battle [with slight difficulty since Miltank kept rolling over Gyradoes] I went to get the flower lady's little sister who was stareing at Sudowoodo. I then got the little girl, went back to the flower lady, got the watering can and battled with Sudowoodo before capturing him just because I felt like it. Then after doing that, I battled some more trainers to level up my pokemon. I also decided to go to the Pokemon Center and grab Mars [LV.5 Togepi] to use him as a second HM slave so I could explore the Dark Cave located on Route Blah.

So with Mars, I explored the cave, training my main three pokemon as I easily used my new HM slave to light up the cave and to smash any rocks that were in my way. Eventually my walking had lead me to Route 45 and I battled a few trainers there before once again going back to Goldenrod City. And then I walked some more and more until I reached Ecruteak City.

I once again traveled through the town, checking out the houses that were scattered around. Healed my pokemon in the Pokemon Center. And then as I began to head towards the Pokemon Theater where the Eevee Dancers would be, the "Mysterious Egg" hatched into a LV.5 female [duh] Smoochum who I named Kissandra. I then headed over back to the pokemon center so I could deposit her in the PC [after all last time I checked, Smoochum or Jynx was an ice type, not a flying type] and I went to challenge the lovely dancers who used Eevee evolutions to fight.

I battled each of them easily, although the Flareon and the Jolteon trainers were sort of hard to fight since Flareon nearly KOed Puff and Jolteon nearly KOed Birdie. I got the HM Surf, taught it to Moron and left the Theater so I could challenge my rival Caleb. I battled him and won [although his Magnemite was a pain]. I also awakened the legendary dogs and saved the game.

NonDetailed Progress::

Hello I have a question


I have followed the monotype challenge for a few days, and it appears as if some of the Challengers arent too active.


Could it be possible if I could use an already claimed Type?

Preferably Water or Flying?

Mostly WATER like u :)

I'm sorry son but no. You will not be taking flying because that person has posted a report even before you made this post in the same day. As for me you will not be taking Water because I have no reason to post because I am working on the Elite Four and have yet to finish it.

EDIT: And WooHoo only one of each still is in affect.

Well, I really want to do this, but the two remaining slots... well... are my least favourite types. >.<
Could I possibly do the challenge as a taken type, and post my progress and everything, but not be announced as a winner? (If I win? ^.~)

Ok. I completly didn't relize that ghost was only those two. So like. It's a Hall of Famer now too.

@flah117: Yes you can use dark and yes you can use those two. I'm using Eevee because it becomes a Water Type.

Well, I'm sorry, I just bought Diamond last night and I want to spend most of my time towards that. Sorry I couldn't alert you sooner. Maybe next time, but could you remove me please? >.<
 
Wow, Kanto is really easy up until Red. I got all of the badges without any problems barring Sabrina, who had an obvious advantage against me. Then I trained and trained and trained to have a chance against Red and his Espeon. Against Red, Nidoking took out his Pikachu but got taken out by Espeon in one hit. Gengar then landed a hypnosis on Espeon and knocked it out, but took major damage in the process from a Psychic. Crobat beat Snorlax quite easily, confusing and toxicing it while I healed Gengar. Blastoise was taken out by Gengar's Thunderpunch, Venusaur by Psychic and Charizard took heavy damage from Thunderpunch before knocking out Gengar. Tentacruel finished it off with Surf.

So, my final team:
Gengar lvl 76: Psychic, Thunderpunch, Ice Punch, Hypnosis
Nidoking lvl 65: Return, Double Kick, Earthquake, Shadow Ball
Victreebel lvl 60: Razor Leaf, Flash, Growth, Sleep Powder
Tentacruel lvl 60: Surf, Acid, Supersonic, Barrier
Crobat lvl 60: Mean Look, Toxic, Confuse Ray, Fly
Weezing lvl 60: Sludge Bomb, Flamethrower, Haze, Explosion

This now opens up the poison type for anyone who wants to use it. Good luck.
 
I'm sick and I'm too lazy to type out all my progress. So instead of doing detailed progress right now... I'll just mention briefly what I did. Through the NonDetailed Progress bullets. ^^o

NonDetailed Progress::
+ Went over to Blah's Gym and crushed him and his minions
+ Decided to go to Union Cave and explored it a bit with HM Surf
+ Fought trainers in the Union Cave.
+ Puff evolved into a Jumpluff. [Finally]
+ Went to the Ruins of Alph and do some puzzles
+ Entered the Bug Catching Contest just for the heck of it.
+ Caught Pinsir, won 3rd place, obtained the Gold Berry.
+ Released Pinsir.
+ Saved the Game
