Best PS4 Game: LBP3
Best Wii U Game: Super Smash Bros. for Wii-U
Best 3DS Game: Super Smash Bros for 3DS (I STILL play it the most even today)
Best PC Game: To The Moon, on Steam, PC only

Best 2014 Game Announcement: Super Smash Bros. for Wii-U
Most Anticipated Title of 2015: SPLATOON!!!!!! (Might just be me but that looks so fun)
2014's Best of 2013 Game: N/A, don't remember
Best "Retro" Game Played This Year: Okami! Hands down, Okami for PS2 was the absolute best, but if you want true retro, maybe Mega Man 2 works better. It's still fun today.
Best Music in a Game: Super Smash Bros for Wii-U. All the faves, all in one place.
Worst Company of 2014: EA. I mean, no offense, they have made good games in the past, but you cant do worse than EA this year. Nintendo has Smash, Sony has KH, What does EA have? Madden? FIFA soccer? This was almost a tie with Ubisooft, but I honestly like a lot of their games, just not the DRM requirements to play them.
Best Sequel of the Year: Man I'd put smash here if I could. SSBWiiU
Best Indie Game of the Year: N/A
Most Improved Console of 2014: Since the new 3DS hasn't come out yet, I choose Wii-U
Best Protagonist: N/A
Best Antagonist: N/A
Best New Character: Lana (So fun to play as, too!)
Best DLC: N/A, don't really use DLC
Worst Game of the Year: N/A, too many good ones
Game of the Year: This is a toughie, but I would have to choose Super Smash Bros. for Wii-U
Reasoning: I'm a huge Nintendo fan, I'll admit. And an even bigger Smash fan. I only bought the Wii because of Brawl, and only bought the Wii-U because of Smash for Wii-U a HUGE fanboy to say the least, so I'm definitely biased. However, there are a good number of reasons I'd pick Smash over all the other good games of 2014.
Smash has the largest soundtrack in any one game, whatsoever, bringing the best music from all the favorite smash games and characters. If there' a song you like, you can bet its in the game! (For those NOT in the game, it's prolly in the 3DS version)
Smash has always been a game of huge hype, by both Nintendo and their fans alike. Everyone who hasn't played generally wants to, and everyone who has, generally buys the next game in the "series". Sure its in part to get more money, but to date, SSB has ALSO bee the one game that was made almost purely "for the fans". Whether young or old, Nintendo has given us what we all wanted, even those of us that used to say Brawl was the best.
So putting aside all my fanboyness, I still have to put Smash as Game of the Year, because Nintendo, in one game, was able to bring everything we love about Smash into one package. It deserves to be seen for what it is. The beauty of how company and fans work together to achieve the best game ever created. Game of the Year is about more than just amazing story, like Okami, or amazing voice acting... its more than that.
Do I think there can be better? Certainly! But not in 2014. Smash for Wii-U still has its flaws, but the fun while playing it allows you to look past it all, because when it works, it is truly a masterpiece. And its replay value is permanently so high its not even funny.
The Game of the Year should be a game that's fun, entertaining to watch and play for all ages, and I personally feel should allow a family social experience. If it was just for story, then Smash would never be on this list after Brawl! Super Smash Bros. for Wii-U has all of this, and more. It's for competitive players and just bystanders. Everyone can enjoy this game, no matter your age, and its an amazing conversation starter and friend maker. Smash deserves it, and so does Nintendo.
