I was all hyped because Kanzler said plot twist but eh, I wouldn't call it plot twist d: Rather just a "wow ok jesus" moment that will make the finale extremely interesting.

Also the "subtle romantic undertones" between the Targaryen kids sure aren't subtle anymore <333333 i wonder when bran will drop the bombshell

Viserion turning into Kyurem. WELP. And lol yeah I too wonder the reaction once Bran breaks the news. Still a cute scene between Jon and Dany at the end, though.

I did admit to being "urghhh no sisters don't fight" over the Arya and Sansa scenes. Hopefully things will patch up soon.

The plan to capture a wight was stupid on paper and it was also stupid when they carried it out. I usually have nothing to complain about when it comes to Game of Thrones - it's such a stellar show and I love it so much, but I really couldn't get behind the last 2 episodes ?\_(?)_/?

So we got Thoros, Benjen, a few unnamed dudes that tagged along and a DRAGON killed just to capture a wight to show Cersei, so that they can declare a temporary truce or whatever

It's an extremely convoluted and risky plan - Jon of all people should know it's a terrible idea to go North with so few people, he's seen the army of the dead himself. And the reward for that plan, even if all goes well, is to convince the woman who's on the losing side of this war to agree to a truce and help them?

Nothing about this episode made sense. Not the plan, not the Stark sisters' drama (come on, girls, you're smarter than this), and I thought it was almost comical when the White Walkers had them trapped in the middle, and the ENTIRE ARMY OF THE DEAD just stood around them watching them freeze to death until the Hound threw that rock. Why were they even afraid to go after them? Are reanimated dead bodies prone to freezing underwater? Somehow they got chains around Viserion's dead body and pulled him out of the water, so someone was able to dive down long enough to secure chains around a massive dragon. Could they not have just swam to Jon and co. if the ice broke, since they wanted to kill them so badly? Idk having the entire army surround like 6 guys slowly freezing to death just seemed like a really poor use of their time even though they're not really in a rush to go anywhere in particular and they just want to kill everyone.

I love this show a lot and I will continue to love it, but this was probably the first episode that I actually thought was kind of goofy, and I couldn't suspend disbelief long enough to cover all the poor thinking and plans presented here.

That makes sense, and I'm glad they addressed it. Game of Thrones is a show where people scrutinize every detail, so it's unsurprising they tilted so many people with this episode with all the flaws in writing.

But hey, I'll say that what it lacked for in common sense and a good plot, it made up for with some pretty fun interactions ( ?? ?? ??)

Loved this season, a few minor pet peeves but its played through well. I think what's frustrated me most is the nitpicking I see people making :c, especially on twitter.

Yesss Stark children able to lay out the law onto Littlefinger. Also Arya and Sansa has a nice scene near the end, though I chuckled when Sansa said her sister's still creepy lol.

Ok, I admit the part where Jon's like, "nah Dany's my queen Cersei," I was like yeah you're like your uncle wait Jon doesn't know yet father Ned there.

I also admit to be, "finally" when Cersei and Jaime broke up the North is his new friend now. One of my favorite scenes from the books was in the fourth book where Jaime rips Cersei's letter when she asked him to save her in trial by combat. I thought Jaime and Cersei got a lot of baggage in both books and show, and thought he was staying by her side a little too long in the show there.

So, concerning the #boatsmex scene with Dany and Jon:

Poor Bran there tbh hahaha. There's some talks about Bran unable to see that secret wedding until Sam mentions it, maybe Bran's powers a bit rusty due to his young age? Oh well. If the #boatsmex foreshadows Dany getting a bun in the oven like Cersei, oh boy don't know how I'll feel about that.

And everything ends with Kyurem blow stuff up.

Pretty satisfied with the season finale and enjoyed the season overall. Interested to see how the final moments will play out.

My pet peeves of Season 7:
1. Dead Viserion to begin with. That whole episode was pretty crappy, tbh. They said in the post-episode interview that they figured the only way they could get through the wall was with a dragon melting a part of it. So I guess their solution was to make up some reason that makes little sense for them to go beyond the wall with Danaerys's dragons and force one to die. It was really out of place and cringy. I understand why they wanted to capture a wight but it would have been so much better for them to set up a trap to separate one and capture it.

2. Nothing. The rest was fantastic. I mean, the season was clearly rushed and there was a ton of time skipping but I understand why they did it.

I'm sorta bothered by the "let's capture one white walker" thing too because when have they seen just one by itself? okay I don't remember the earlier episodes that well so I guess I don't have that much credit but still.

the only thing that bothered me about dead viserion was that 1) how did the night king know that the dragon would show up anyway? how did it know that there were dragons in the first place? 2) there shouldn't have been signs of visible decay. i'm not bothered by the fire breathing and the flying even though there were holes in its wings bc it's a dragon, they're not biologically possible, so i'm sure there's some magic thing involved that allows it to breath fire and fly with that body. but there shouldn't have been holes and decay in the first place, other than the spear wound and the possible holes they made when they dragged it up with chains* cos it's so damn cold his body would have just frozen. right?? does this make sense.

I actually have so many questions and I'm worried that the answers are just gonna be "because the plot needed to advance" and "magic." things shouldn't happen because it's the method you need for your answer, it should be the opposite >.>

How did they not slip? How do wights that probably weigh 50-70 pounds or less have the strength and stability to do that.

I'm not sure we have to use spoiler tags for something that happened 2 weeks ago, but let me know if I still should, but in the meantime moving out...

Idk about the slipping part but i would assume he has some mind control thing going on. So he could command like 10,000 of them to grab the thing and walk backwards. I think numbers might work, right?

I like the idea that the Night's King had some kind of sight (he notices Bran's ravens, after all) and so he was just chillin, waiting.

Apparently there's a small dock on the frozen 'lake' so maybe the chains were supplies from a ship? Idk. The chains are the bit that gets me most.
