So just curios, what is that game you've spent half a year of your life playing? For some it could be Runescape or WoW, and for others it could be Skyrim or Fallout! What game have you devoted the most time to, and how long? Do you regret it?

I've spent a couple weeks of play time on a couple games such as COD: AW, Pokemon Diamond, Super Mario Strikers Charged and a few more more. The game I've spent at least 3 months of playtime on is Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I just had no life in those awkward elementary-middle school days.

Preeetty much just Pokemon as a whole. And then Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life. And probably others, I just can't think of them right now. But those are definitely top two. I just love them so much and they're addicting, esp Harvest Moon. I spent my entire Thanksgiving break playing it. Like I played for ten hours one day hahaha. That's not healthy.

    Let's see...
    - The Pokemon series as a whole, obvs. God knows how much time I've spent on the games... xD
    - Animal Crossing series. I have spent over 700 hours on New Leaf alone.
    - Super Smash Bros series. I have always played these games on a semi-regular basis since I first played Melee eleven years ago.
    - Skyrim I spent a good solid year playing. I'm not sure how many hours total all my save files were.

That's all I can think of right now.

Osu!. No question. Nothing comes close.

I've spent hundreds of hours in the Sims, Oblivion, heavily modded Skyrim, Inazuma Eleven, and various other games, but they don't even come close. Osu! has accumulated more time than easily anything I've played. Or it certainly feels like it, at least.

No regrets, love that game to death.

Oh dang, I forgot about that game for a minute! I've been playing just 3 months now, but I have leveled up to 55 and am now rank #162,128 in standard mode at the time of this post. Since I started, I've been playing at least 3 days a week, with sessions usually lasting 3 hours or so. (Clicking circles has interfered with me completing other games I have bought since starting osu, to be honest.. x'D) I found a crew I regularly do multiplayer sessions with on reddit, but I still want a chance play with you too, machomuu!

Pokemon. I've actually spent years playing it, and I have to say that I still do. It's the one game I can play nonstop. It's funny too because I've been playing since Pokemon yellow as well. I used to hate Pokemon, which is even more funny. Now look at me... I absolutely adore the franchise that I literally play it without ever getting bored. It's honestly my most played game out of anything else I've ever played.

Mind you, I'm not much of a gamer either. I do pretty poorly on other games, so I usually just stick to Pokemon. Very seldom have I ever beat others and really felt proud of myself. Pokemon XY were the first games I played where I was able to beat the elite four & champion without cheats. That was something I felt so proud of, even if normally they were easy for other people.

A couple years back I played way more Minecraft than I cared to admit. The game doesn't track your time played, but I had a pretty consistent daily schedule back then so I can estimate it was probably about 3-3.5 thousand hours.

I've also got like 80 hours of Dishonored, which is a 8-15 hour long single-player only game. I used to feel the need to just load a level and keep retrying it until I could get it absolutely perfectly and take no damage.

Adding up all my hours on Football manager on Steam tells me I have 4979 hours on that series alone. I played it for three years before Steam was really a thing as well, so it's possible I have 500+ more hours than that. I'd like to think no series has more hours devoted than that from me or I am a sad, sad, sad, sad person.

I've played Fifa quite a lot since I was a very young child so I imagine my overall hours on that would be pretty high if they could be tracked at all as well.

In terms of a single game I've played a lot (outside of sports game franchises), I think I had about 12 days on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. I probably would have clocked more if the servers didn't end up being filled with hackers.

Edit - Oh wow, I'm going to have spent over a year of my life on Football Manager in a few years time.

My answer would have to be the Sims 2. I can play that game for hours (even to the point of crashing computers) without feeling it, and have played off-and-on for almost eight years now. And when I'm not playing the actual game, I'm thinking of it: house plans, looking for downloads, just thinking of new neighborhoods to try. Don't regret it at all.

Other standard answer is probably Pokemon. While I have only around five hours of total play time across all Pokemon games on my 3DS, that doesn't count the over 100 hours on Pearl or any other older game I spent days on.

League of Legends. Its been more than 3 years since I've been playing it, starting from the good old days of 2010 (season 1) but it was only during Season 3 were i started taking it more seriously with ranked solo que and with the next season about to start, its going to be a good 6 years now of playing League, and hopefully 3 strong years of playing ranked.

Path of Exile. Having played POE during the open beta, I've enjoyed much of this game for simply being that action RPG that remains to be endlessly fun with all of the possible builds that can be done to carry oneself into end-game. I find myself playing POE from time to time, going back and forth and never really dropping it off from my 'to-do list'. Also, much like League, a new expansion patch is about to come up as well.

Pokemon Games. As usual. I wouldn't be in a Pokemon related forum if i didn't devote time to play them. Weirdly enough, i spend a lot of time with the 6th gen games compared to the rest of the generations.

Dynasty Warriors games. With the sole exception of the first DW game, which wasn't even the same genre as the DW games that we know today, I have played and spent a lot of time with these series of games more than i can say towards the others, not counting online multiplayer games. Having bought and played Dynasty Warriors 2 to 8 along with the Xtreme Legends, and Empires stand alone game expansions, I'm very happy to say that I got really hooked with DW as a whole. And of course, I wouldn't be a DW fan (nor an ROTK fan) if I didn't call myself Xin ZhaoYun.

I have about 996 hours in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, making it the closest I've ever come to 999:59ing a game on-record. I also have 657 and 839 hours in Dark Souls and its sequel respectively, but a lot of this time (particularly in the second game) has been spent merely waiting to be summoned or "searching for a world to invade" as the message goes. Otherwise by now my most played game is probably World of Tanks, since it's the only game I've played consistently for over a year. It's no 'virtuous pursuit' like learning a language, but to be consistently discontented over that sort of thing is, I imagine, personally destructive in that it would lead to great stress and depression. Being immersed in a game makes me happy, and it's what I seem to want to pursue most in life, so I can't say I regret it.

literally 1000s of hours in FFX. 600 hours across all saves in Digimon card battle. The pokemon series is probably months. a good 500 or so hours in kirby air ride. Final fantasy I and II is around 500 hours. Madden 07 I can only guess at. Most full length games take about an hour to finish, and I've gone through god knows how many seasons with how many characters.

-Thousands of hours on pokemon throughout the last 15 years
-Animal Crossing and the Sims is probably in the late hundreds they're both games when I play I get obsessed with, then dont play them for like 6 months after.
    - FIFA 15/16 are the most played games this year along with pokemon, I probably play it at least 4/7 days each week.t i'd say its 400 hrs +

Of course I've put an unnecessarily big amount of hours into the pokémon series as a whole, but the pokémon game I've played the most is according to my 3DS Pokémon X. I still fail to understand how I've put hundreds of hours in that seeing as I don't do competitive battling or pokédex completion... I've also put waaaay too much time in the Fire Emblem games. The only ones I've played are Sacred Stones and Awakening, but the counter is on hundreds of hours already. If only Fates would come soon I could play even more...

Monster Hunter Tri had 300 hours, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is sitting at 100 (and I'm still just getting started). Pokémon FireRed and Emerald both had about 200 hours.

Besides those, I try to avoid games that aren't purely story-driven, which means I'd have to play them over and over again to clock in so much play-time. Dark Souls might be at around 60 hours across platforms and characters.

If I could somehow count the amount of time I wasted in RuneScape, I'd probably be looking at like 3000 hours. ;-; (Then there's the botting...)

Harvest Moon games, Fire Emblem games, Animal Crossing- New Leaf, Pokemon

Omega Ruby currently has 200+ hours. Team Fortress 2 has about 350, and Garry's Mod has 200 hours. Any games where I can be as creative as possible I spill my free time in to. And I have a lot of free time.

Games that I've very definitely played the Hades out of: Mega Man 3-5, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, every Animal Crossing game, and maybe the Pokemon series as a whole when I was still a huge fan.

I've wracked up days' worth of hours in Sonic Adventure 2 just tending to and researching the Chao gardens, which I honestly enjoyed even more than the main game itself. There's just something addicting about raising them, and maybe that's how I've also managed to put tons of time into my Animal Crossing towns. And then there have just been times where I've nearly spent entire days playing Mega Man.
