That's concerning :(

I hope it stays away for you!!!😊

Nintendo really need their derriere kicked for this fiasco tbh...

The Switch as a whole leaves to be desired imo.
Like, my brother has a normal switch... which he let run out of battery at some point, completely dry.
Had to send it back to nintendo in Japan to get it fixed.

Meanwhile I pulled my old GBA, DS lite and 3ds out of storage like half a year ago. They've been gathering dust for years and were still working fine. That good old quality is gone with the Switch =(

I'm a lifelong Nintendo geek, and I really can't disagree with anything you've said unfortunately :(

We own two switches (animal crossing will do that to ya!) And neither are the most robust thing. Even the screen is soft, I have a big gouge in mine after my partner placed it somewhere not particularly ideal, and a very light object gently fell on it. I'd had it a week :(

Dang. I'm glad I bought it with a protective case straight away and always put it somewhere high up. like tables or cabinets.

I never buy consoles anymore due to preferring handhelds. But, like decades ago, we had a SNES and N64. I tend to buy Nintendo handhelds usually for games like Zelda, Super Mario and Pokemon. Also DKC, but they don't make that many games for it anymore. The Switch has like 1 DKC game I think.
I've stared at Animal Crossing several times actually wondering if I should buy it. But, I don't even have time to play most of the games I've already bought for the Switch, and are still lying there, still wrapped in plastic 😂
I'll get around to you one day... New pokemon snap, DKC tropical freeze and super mario odyssey...

Never bought any other consoles/handhelds. Nintendo or nothing =o

oh right,

I still own an original Gameboy and a GBA SP. Both work, but the latter unfortunately comes with a very specific set of batteries that aren't produced anymore (Nintendo brand). I'd really like to get my hands on a regular GBA as those still use regular batteries...

And there's also that issue in regards to the 3DS which, as I've heard, seems to have certain issues with batteries, as well. I mean, it's cool that Nintendo at least used to care a lot for high quality hardware, to a point where they could survive a "throw it off of a building" test (or an explosion in case of the original Gameboy), but then you have these very specific issues like batteries or Joycon drift...

Tbh. I don't experience problems with the joycons, but I've also never used them. I bought a controler alongside my Switch and later on got a Pro Controller.

You can get replacement batteries for the DS and SP on eBay Megan, I've changed mine a few times over the years :)

Unfortunately, I closed my eBay account which interestingly enough also means they blacklisted my bank account. Only thing I know is there's a bunch of replica batteries on amazon, but they're hit or miss. Afaik at least for the SP there seem to be two different types of models which use slightly different batteries?

Pass on the actual type of battery, I just open them up, look at the code and order one that is compatible! The ones on Amazon are probably the exact same ones on eBay, all mine have been aftermarket batteries, and they don't have as long a lifespan as the originals, but they're good enough! Just read the reviews to make sure the one you get is reputable :)

Haven't seen squirtlenator, hopefully he stays around despite the changes coming. Also, If he's out I could actually see you winning this time.

430. Just goes to show how much time you spend here. :)

I need to be unlazy and watch one of the Precure anime as so many I know are really into the series.

Suite is my first and only Precure series I have watched so far at the recommendation of my partner and I really enjoyed it. Obviously the soundtrack is good for a music themed series. I tried to get into Fresh after but I lost interest for some reason? Haven't tried any more since but as a whole they're cute shows. Just keep in mind it's aimed at children haha.
