    do you use good grammar?

do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?

should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?

i'm using grammar in the sense of capitalization and punctuation, not coherency.

i don't care to use good grammar, i'd rather save it for writing my school essays. i come online to relax and just hang out, i don't need to be worrying about whether or not that last post was fully capitalized. of course for some people that's not something they have to worry about because they've gotten so used to it, as for me, having spent some time off of communities like pc where bad grammar is looked down upon i've gotten used to not double checking. my posts aren't unreadable and if you think less of my opinion because i didn't use good grammar, chances are i don't care what you think of my opinions anyway.

Yes, the usage of bad grammar ticks me off to no end. I don't see myself as a Grammar Nazi. I see myself as a Grammatical Socialist.

However, while it may annoy me, I can't change what others have posted so I just keep my mouth shut.

    To answer the OP:
Do you use good grammar? Why?
Yes, because it gets my point across clearer. The rules of grammar are there for a reason.

Do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?
I do care, but I'm not all in their face about it.

Should grammar really be something to measure somebody's worth by?
    No, but it helps.

I'm a bit of a Grammar Nazi. A fail Grammar Nazi at times, but the fact remains. But I'm more a stickler for my own grammar than others. I even text in "proper" English. The only time I throw grammar to the wind is when I am on the wii. Typing on that thing is a bad adventure so I tend to save my wrist, arm and patience and shorten only slightly. I just don't say as much or care about capitalization. It's always "proper" english

I definitely prefer good grammar, and thus I try to use it myself, but I'm not a Grammar Nazi. Grammar Nazis are frankly more annoying than bad grammar. I understand that sometimes people are lazy, maybe English isn't their first language, and that everyone makes mistakes. This is all common, and I don't think it's a big enough deal to point out people with bad grammar.

The only reason I would end up looking down on someone if if dey typd lik dis. I mean, it's not like you're typing it all on a cellphone's number pad; it really shouldn't be too much effort to completely type out words when posting on a forum while on your computer. I mean, really?

I am pretty careful with my grammar usage. It annoys me when others don't always use good grammar, because it is not that hard of a thing to do. :/

Ha, I guess I'll be the first person here to agree with Stratos. I'm perfectly capable of using correct grammar (look at me!), and it doesn't take me significantly longer, but I prefer to just type it out however I want. I think tone can be conveyed a bit better, and it just feels ~freer~ if you allow yourself to use technically incorrect grammar, punctuation, spacing, etc.

I don't really care for grammar online, as long as your sentences are readable. It depends on my mood really. May have good grammar on some occasions, bad grammar on some occasions.

I think grammar nazis is going too far though. You shouldn't correct another persons post, as they will likely not care... and is rude in general.

    Do you use good grammar?
I think I do well in regards to grammar.

Do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?
Bad grammar tends to irk me, especially if it is used repeatedly. Good grammar makes me respect the person a bit more and lets me pay attention to what they are actually saying more easily.

Should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?
Should? Probably not. However, that does not stop me from judging others on how good their grammar is.

I try to put capitalizations and punctuations in all the right places where ever I post online. Not only because I think it looks better, but because there is a lot of negativity associated with bad grammar online. It's like people don't respect you or listen to you as much. Although I see that more with bad grammar in the sense of spelling a lot of words wrong then actual sentence formation. This is all true of course unless I'm talking to friends. Then I type casually.

do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?
When it comes to just capitalization and punctuation I don't care. It's when I can barely read someone's post that it can get a little confusing. I say confusing because I've never really cared how other people type. I'm pretty good at reading past any mistakes/slang so it's not a big deal for me.

should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?
No, it's a poor reason to base your worth of someone on. I've met a lot of people who have "poor" grammar online and they're just as intelligent as the people who have outstanding grammar.

    Do you use good grammar?
I try to, but I'm not an English professor, so I'll make a mistake here and there.

Do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?
If the person should be using it, as they are in a professional stance, then yeah, it will bother me. Like if the text in a video game has errors in it. Especially if it's frequently. But no one's perfect, so I can't really complain.

Should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?
Not really. People don't have to type perfectly all the time. I'm guilty of not doing it when it's in a stupid MSN chat.

    Do you use good grammar?
Yes, it was put here for a reason and I use it well.

Do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?
Yeah, if you have good grammar I'll like to talk to you even more, if you have bad grammar it could be a pain.

    do you use good grammar?

    I try to,

do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?

I don't care as long as I understand the person.

should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?

Sometimes, English is not a person's native language, or the person may have a learning disability such as dyslexia. So I don't judge people by their grammar. Grammar Nazis can kiss my arse for all I care.

    Do you use good grammar?
Yes, I try and use good grammar, but like to put stuff such as smileys also. XD

Do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?
Good or bad? I don't care that much, as I'm not some type or freak on others' grammar, although as long as I understand them it doesn't matter, really.

Should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?

    Not, not really.

it depends on my mood. usually i try to use the best grammar as i can, but sometimes - like now - i really just don't care. it's not that big of a deal to type properly and i don't really see why some people obsess over it so much and care about it more than they really should. i think it's rather silly that some people obsess over it as if they're college english professors grading the term papers they assigned four months ago, etc.

I try to use good grammar, including capitalization and punctuations. It might just depend on my mood at times, but yeah, most of the time I try to use good grammar. I don't really mind if someone else uses bad grammar, let alone good grammar. As long as it's readable and I can extract some sense, it doesn't bother me.

Do you use good grammar?: Yes, always.

Do you care if somebody else uses good grammar?: Yes I do, but other than that I don't mind.

Should grammar be something to measure somebody's merit or worth?: No, because it wouldn't be fair to the people who don't use grammar.
