FireRed hack: [Hack of the Month 2008] [BETA 2 OUT!] POKéMON MARBLE - The long life - 4/1/08

I noticed a bug while playing...Sorry if it has already been dealed with. When the train crashes and you go into that haunted castle with the ghosts.....you can sometimes encounter a ghost with the ability.....SHADOW TAG.....You will then have to restart.

You're right. This glitch is already reported. Next time, read the previous pages of bug reporting before you report about bugs, OK?

Cool! i finished the beta 2.1 yesterday, pretty nice!

is it going to take long to the beta 3? just asking cause i'm getting bored... lol

i enjoyed it but the f**king quicksand whatev is totally hell! and i found the oasis with the shiny zappel

Lucivolt and Roellama is the coolest of your pkmns, i think, where did you get the name of them?

I just released beta 2.1, give me a break!

About the quicksands, the trick is to watch where are you stepping in. When you're running, you can't almost see the movement.

Lucivolts comes from Luz (light in Spanish) Gusiluz (The spanish name of an old, old old, so old that I haven't even seen it little kids cartoon featuring worms with light on its tail) and volts which is volts. Rallama comes from Rat and Llama (flame in spanish)

Yes, it's a bug. But since there's nothing relevant upstairs, It won't be fixed until beta 3.

During the weekends I'm doing the tileset for rainbowpolis. ¡And next week I maybe have a lot of days free - minimun 2, maybe all the week but monday! I've done the mall and some buildings, but there's still a hell of a lot to do.
Also, there will be no animations, as I suggested before. In the end, they're hardcoded.

During the week I'm working on the Spanish translation. I have done all the story up to Kellygreen Town, a lot of menus (options, items...), many battle texts, all the attacks, habilities, habilities descriptions (copied from a rubí rom), etc. At this rithm, it can be released soon, maybe.

Translation (with some more stuff that is only relevant if you speak Spanish)
Durante la semana trabajo en la traducción al castellano (ojo, castellano de España, así que ningún sudamericano se extrañe si utilizo la palabra coger, que aquí significa tomar, agarrar y no... lo otro). Ya hice toda la historia hasta Pueblo Verdín (kellygreen town), muchos menús (opciones, objetos...), muchos textos de batalla; todos los nombres de ataques, habilidades y descripciones de habilidades (copiados de un rom de rubí), etc. A este ritmo, quizás lo saque dentro de no mucho.

Por cierto, aquí van los nombres de algunas ciudades en castellano, por si a alguien le interesa: PUEBLO FLORIDO, CIUDAD MANDARINA, CIUDAD VAINILLA, MADRIGUERAS TOPO, PUEBLO VERDÍN, ESTACIÓN COBALTO

biko it is most likely a patching problem make sure it is a clean fire red rom and that it is the right region.... i think US region..... not sure baro will be able to say what rom he uses.... hopefully... also baro how did u change birch in the intro in quartz... i have asked around and tried search button but none of it has helped... also keep up the good work!!!
 
is there a list of the pokemon + pics, evolution etc?
and is it true that you can trade between this and quartz?
 
Hey Baro where is the Wist Castle, I think that is why people keep asking where is cut, you say cut is in the Wist Castle, but frankly I have no clue, at all, where the heck it is. Please HELP ME PLEASE? =/

There isn't one YET, but in beta 3 All the first 151 POKéMON will be (I hope) fully done so someone can make a pokedex with stats, egg groups (BTW yesterday I made stats and egg groups, except for legendaries), evolutions, attacks, etc.

And refer to the help thread in the scrapbox for more info.
 
ummm on my rom when i go over to where the pokemon are, and the prof. stops me he never comes over. why does that happen?

Just to let you know, the name is Baro. You should have WinZIP downloaded on your computer, as well as have Lunar IPS and a FireRed ROM available before playing this. Then patch Pokémon Marble patch onto the FireRed ROM (make sure it is clean) using Lunar IPS, the patching program. The file you can download is actually an IPS file.
 
Currently doing rainbowpolis tileset.
I had already decided to make the player neef to get a FAKE ID to enter one of the... clubs in the red district, but now I've decided to give more use to that fake id: there will be a liquor store. Once you get the fake id, you can buy alcoholic drinks FOR YOUR POKéMON. They'll be like the bitter medicines (revival herb, etc).

Also, here's a list of the districts and what they'll have (may change)

Red district - 'clubs'
Orange district - Shopping center, liquor store
Yellow district - Japantown (full of Jakuzas)
Green district - casinos, and an hotel
Blue district - docks (and lighthouse?)
Indigo district - gym, pokemon center
Violet district - laboratories.

And of course, in every district there will be a subway station and people's houses.

On updates:
New intro, after the greeting in baro's lab, you appear as before in your room next morning, but now there's a map script:

It's at dawn, your pokebar's alarm clock rings but you keep sleeping. Two hours later, your mother warns you that you're late, then suddenly wake up and rush to the ground floor where you'll be able to start moving.
When I do the league and all that stuff, I'll have to check where/in which conditions (vars, etc) you start in, then modify the script. But the event itself will be the same.

But what I recorded was longer... hmmm maybe it was because of vista, I'll try to reupload on the following days.
 
Well, considering there are many different building styles, then that means Rainbowpolis will be a hard challenge for your spriting hand, Baro, good luck with that ;)

It'll be interesting to see what is inside of the clubs be careful XD.

By the looks of it, Rainbowpolis will be the place where a lot of stuff will happen, I guess the player will have to return to this place many times, right?

Oh, and about the player's room script, dont worry much about it, because when you defeat the E4 you start out outside of your house, in one of the warp events (in fact, you can specify which in the "Oak and Hall of Fame" event), but anyway, you are still somewhat far away :P
