Hand-Drawn Avatars or Signatures

Have you hand-drawn something as your avi in ANY forum before?

) and my own profile picture here; so yeah, I'd say if one can make it look good, one should.

Every single image I showcase as my avatar, in my signature, in my profile picture, is completely hand drawn by myself. Including my current set. People can click the star in my signature to view my deviantART account and see some of the work I actually show off.

I enjoy drawing and always feel the need to showcase my artwork through whatever means, the girl I usually draw happens to be a character I've made up about...three years ago now, so I've kept her consistently in my themes. It actually makes me feel good, knowing everything I've done to complete the aesthetic of my theme set was done myself, so it's been a habit for a long time to actually draw my themes rather than grab random images and have people make the graphics for me.
 
I've only drawn my theme what... once? XD; That was during the baby eater times, yeah I can't draw so I don't bother normally.
 
I don't draw my own themes. I'm not very good at drawing. The theme I've got now, I made myself in GIMP. :D

We think alike! :3

I don't like the idea of displaying something I didn't make (or in the case of the Kenshin theme I had briefly, tweak/assemble). I use my own artwork to represent myself on every site I go on (heck, my desktop wallpaper is always one I made). I enjoy the feeling of having done something myself, as it's more satisfying than having asked someone else to or just grabbed something off the internet. Plus, everyone has their own interpretations of things, so making my own stuff ensures that the idea I have is executed in the way I envisioned (or as close to it as possible for my skill level).

I make my own themes on Gimp...I've never been able to draw very well. =(
 
Yeah, my current avatar is drawn with a tablet :laugh: and on MS Paint, no less! I'm starting to experiment with our tablet, so I went with a simple Paint avatar first. I'm planning on making myself an actual theme later on, as soon as I figure out the finesses of GIMP. I'm not too good with that yet, so it might take a while xD

Anyway, I really like the idea of making my avatar and signature look like me and no-one else. I have the skill and the equipment to make my visions come true (well, more or less so), so why shouldn't I?
 
I would luv to draw my own avatars and stuff , but i just suck to hard at drawing. Just dont have a creative side to me.
 
Unfortunately, my drawing skills are as good as Shia LaBeouf's acting. :(
 
I love to draw, and my drawings represent who I am. So yes, I always have a picture that I drew as my avatar/signature combo. My ideas are pretty whack though, but I guess that expresses who I am. Plus, it's fun to see what I can come up with as a theme; I plan on changing my current one soon with new pictures.​
 
I could definitely draw an imagery for my theme, but I don't have a scanner or any of those gizmos. :(

I applaude those of you who have actually done this. You peeps are truely amazing.
