    Have you ever had a birthday party where none of the people invited showed up?

    I have, for my tenth birthday I invited three of my best friends, and spoke to one of them personally about an hour before the party was going to begin. And low and behold, no one showed up all night. After calling this friend's home I found out that he was staying over at another friend's house. Second worst day of my life, I have to say...

    So, has anyone else had a similar experience?

    Once (I think I was about, 10) I had a birthday party and my cosens came, but, my best buddies that lived next door couldn't, they all got grounded for something....

    I felt really upset for the rest of the day D: It was horrable...x.x;

    I'm pretty sure I never had a birthday party when no one came, though. All the birthdays I DIDN'T have parties on, though, duh, of course no one came XD (we kinda don't do parties anymore since I don't really have many friends irl, anyways..lol but we used to like do them every year when i was a kid, or at least almost every years, anyways.. *shrugs* but we never really would invite a lot of people, anyways. usually mostly just close friends, though sometimes we'd invite other people, too. our mom just wanted to make sure we had buddies, haha)

    Well...there WAS a 'no one showing up' for my brother, though. Luckly, he was only like, 1 at the time...soo he wouldn't of cared much, anyways (unless it was like, my mom that didn't show up, lol).

    Yes, a party at a skating rink, I invited my entire class. Only three, out of thirty-two, showed up. And one of them left early. I feel bad, I was in a sour mood and threw myself a pity-party when my friends that did come tried to cheer me up. I was eight or nine, but I wish I hadn't let it bother me and attempted to have fun anyway.

    I think something similar to this happened at my 10th birthday, too O_o I invited, like, five or six people to go to a YMCA party of mine, and only two showed up. Two of them had plausible reasons for not going, but the third didn't. It really broke my heart, and after that I didn't have anymore birthday parties with friends :/

    Oh well, I get more gifts now seeing how I have two separate family birthday parties.

    Not really, because I rarely invite. I haven't invited in the last few years.
    But I know how it feels, because I've been to a guy's birthday where nobody else except me appeared from the big list of who were supposed to appear.

    I'm not anti-social. I just have a hard time liking certain people. Once I do, I'm good with them, but that's mostly in the internet.

    One time I invited 4 people to go on a little trip to the Renaissance Festival with me for my birthday (it would've been one nerdy hell of an adventure). The least fun and agreeable guy of the four was the only one who's parents didn't change their minds about their kids going in the last 2 days before it.

    I never had this experience, seeing as I never invited any friends over for birthday parties.
    My parents were always so strict about it, so it never happened.
    I really don't care either way, honestly.

    Friends? What are those?

    If i did have friends, i'd be inviting all of them to maximize on the output of the received presents.

    The past 3 years

    When I was a kid, my mom invited all my classmates to party. The last party I ever had occured on my 15th birthday. Since then, only my family celebrates my birthday. But since I'm in a different country, I think I'll celebrate my birthday and christmas alone(or maybe...).

    If I made a RP with nobody SUing, does that count?

    Hmm, I've never thrown a birthday party before, so yeah, nobody comes.

    In 7th grade I had a birthday party and I invited my 5 closest friends. None showed up. :| They all made stupid, easily proven wrong excuses, instead of just saying they forgot.

    Never happend to me because I never invited a bunch of people over when I was younger. Maybe like 1 or 2, but that was it

    Only once, my 11th B-Day, Most of the people showed up, but my best friend from school (i have two categories for friends, school and not school) who's Birthday Party I was at the Day before didn't show up and my crush who told me ahead of time, so I wasn't angry at her. ;_; He had a really lame excuse to, he had forgot what time it was at when I had gave him an invitation and told him what time the day before. But the rest of my friends showed up and it was the first year in two years of parties that I hadn't been sick.

    I am teh popular kind of guy, so this hasn't happened to me! XDD

    No, because I've never had a birthday party.
    I'd meet up with a few friends and it would be the same as most days, except there'd be cake.

    Except once when I was about 5 years old, my mum invited the whole class over (it was a small school), including the kids that bullied me, lmao.

    ^ Awww to everybody above whose friends were mean ;___;

    I never had birthday parties, and I don't want them either. :/ I only have one ~best~ friend IRL, and I find it way more fun to go to the cinema or spend the day shopping with them, then finish up with a pizza and a DVD. (:

    No this has never happened to me. I only invited friends to my parties twice and they all showed up. I'm really not a party person though, so I never did it again.
