Well, have you?

I counted I've caught 887/1,008 Pokemon in my Pokemon lifetime.

Hm. Acquired everything breedable in Sun/Moon. Completed the Pokedexes in Sword and Scarlet. Caught any older, version-exclusive legendaries in Crown Tundra. Probably just leaves some (legitimate) mythicals like Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Meloetta, Genesect, Hoopa, Volcanion, and Marshadow.

Edit: Forgot about Legends: Arceus Pokemon. Never caught those seven (Wyrdeer, Ursaluna, Basculegion, Sneasler, Overqwil, Kleavor, and Enamorus).

Not yet, I'm working on a living dex in Gen 4 and I plan on transferring and adding to it in gens 5, 6, etc to build a full living dex in Gen 7, the last game with all the Pokemon.

No. I've never had that kind of dedication. I get burnt out long before I can do that.

Even though I enjoy the catching aspect of Pokémon, I don't think I ever caught every single Pokémon. I only completed the Pokédex in Pokemon Yellow, Crystal, Ultra Sun, and Violet. There are also tons of Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus that I've never caught either.

Sadly not. I've completed the regular dex in SwSh and SV, but not the DLC dex in SwSh yet. Finished the dex in every other game. So those SwSh DLC mons are the only ones I'm missing! iirc in my case Spectrier and Regidrago. So close I feel I may as well stop being lazy and do it lol.

I remember being so insane that I decided to obtain all Pokémon in existence at the time in Ultra Moon, knowing full well that many of these Pokémon didn't even have dex entries. That's as close as I'll ever get in a single game, though.

If you count all the Pokémon I've caught across all games, my collection is only missing most mythical Pokémon and a bunch of Generation 8 Pokémon (specifically the ones that have never appeared in Generation 9).
