4th Gen HeartGold/SoulSilver Speculation

Referring to Togepi, I would hope and I'm pretty sure they would keep it in the game, as the strange egg. It adds to the story and keeps a more nostalgic feel to the originals.

I'm sure that is when they will return to their Pokéball. I mean it wouldn't be necessary for it to be out all the time, such as when you have to surf or maybe new use waterfall as well.

I think my brother has mine right now. I can't remember. That was for North American pre-ordered copies. As for the Japanese game, if it was pre-ordered you'd get a Celebi off the bonus disk. They both held some berry. For Jirachi I know that for a fact, but I can only strongly assume the same thing for Celebi.

Technically, all in all, the Colosseum bonus disk was an event (of sorts...), since you got it through pre-ordering Colosseum.
Celebi was available if you managed to purify every single snaggable shadow pokemon, but that was a tedious process and that game is very outdated now.
 
I think that HG/SS won't be as annoying as Platinum in the HMs, because in platinum you needed two pokemon to have all the HM's minimun, which means going to the PC, or overtrain one pokemon, left that on in the PC, overtrain another, and change that for the other and...
Here ther aren't many HM's, maybe they won't include Rock Smash, and Flash, the rest of moves aren't as bad as those two luckily.
 
they always include rock smash and flash. they will add whoripool because of the sevil islands, they wont need defog and rock climb, and i dont remember if we need waterfall i cant remember if it was in there by the eilete 4. so all together there sould be 8.....cut,flash,strength,surf,fly,rock smash,waterfall,and whirlpool.
 
I agree, I don't think they will ever take out rock smash or flash. It's just something that needs to be in the games.

I don't think they will include dive though, but hey they could suprise me.
 
The HM Flash [lol] has me a bit skeptical because they can possibly make it a TM like they did in DPPt, and add something new. Though, they list of HMs given by Andyb4325 is pretty clear cut and can seem like what we would have.
 
Bricks have been shat. I can't wait. I love G&S. Best pokemon games ever. YES NINTENDO YES.

HMs are region bound. TMs are not. I don't get why they just can't have 7 HMS with whirlpool and thats it?
 
Or they could just make all the caves light, cutting out the need for HM/TM Flash.
 
I actually like the caves being pitch black, it made it more challenging. Also, there are 8 HMs rather than 7 because there are 8 Gyms that allow us to access the use of them outside of battle after we've gotten the badge.
 
Flash will almost certainly stay a TM, which you get the same way as in G/S/C. However, it'll probably be buyable afterwards in the Goldenrod dept. store.

Does anyone else think either Defog or Rock Climb might be replaced by Whirlpool?
 
I think it'll be best to stick to the GS basics, Nintendo, but they can surprise us. Rember, most areas (if not all) are redesigned!
 
I demand key items instead of HMs, and just make the HMs into TMs!

Surfboard, Flashlight, Your own muscles(?!), whatever.

And how the hell do you make Fly into a key item.
 
You just fly away on a Bird Pokémon without throwing a hunk of metal at it, commanding it to Fly. Why do you think it takes away a move? Answer: When you throw the metal machine at it, it gives it brain damage. DUH.

But seriously, HM Fly is a waste. If the Pokémon can already Fly, then fly away with it. Simple.

I heard that the Red Gyarados is uncatchable. If it is, I'll be pissed.
