hello darkness my old friend

Snow is rare here, I've only seen snow twice in my hometown which is fairly close to the coast. And I've never seen snow in the coastal city where I attend uni.

Heat sucks ass, I used to love the summer but after this year... NEVER AGAIN. Fuck summer. 40C daytime/30+C nighttime heat for a week is unbearable. But neither do I like the winter cold and shorter days. Those days where I have to put on three layers of clothing so I don't get a cold, and runny noses, and a mixture of rain and wind, ugh. I'd be happy with a permanent Spring climate honestly. Like April/May springtime.

It's quiet there's nothing distracting you. It's relaxing to be in
Oh, I taught you enjoy staying in dark rooms no light and such..

Generally yeah I do. The Darker the room the better

So you just stay in there and everything is black? Interesting, I personally don't understand what is satisfying by doing that, but I respect it.

I mean I sleep in total darkness, I don't usually keep many lights on when I'm actually up unless I need them. I think the only maybe weird thing I do is keep the lights off if I wake up in the middle of the night and need to go somewhere in the house. I just know the house well and my eyes are adjusted so it's easier imo

Winter, summer, spring, fall, it's all the same around here. Like 60 degrees here year round because of the fog (like 15 celsius I think).

It's summer and I'm currently freezing in my house. :c

So I guess I like fall because of the idea of it? I prefer to be cold but not TOO cold, so I don't like winter that much.

what is snow

I come from a state where the sun is your medicine. And if you don't get your daily dose of sun, you will get sick.

Personally, I much prefer the cold and darkness. I just hate sunlight, I have really sensitive (and weak, I have a rather strong glasses prescription) eyes, and heat just overall irks me. I can't stand it, to the point where I have worse (I already have them as is) mood swings compared to the cold. Around here, summers are blistering hot and winters are horrifyingly cold, but at least there's a way to heat up in the winter (house heating, and if you run out or don't have it for a time, just wrap up like a burrito in blankets), compared to the summer here, where it's near-impossible to get a bit chilly. ><
