Hello, and good day to you. I am Cosmic Neon, but you can call me Josh... or even "Joshy" if you so desire. I'm very new to forums despite my age so I'm quite nervous about even creating a thread. But anyways, I hope you're having a good day!

I have a deep passion for Pokémon that spans through all forms of the franchise other than the manga and the TCG. I play lots of video games and enjoy reading a fan fiction here and there. I even plan on writing a series of Pokémon short stories! I also dabble in the realm of competitive battling, but not so much as to confidently discuss strategies and team builds.

I hope you all welcome me with open arms...

(I also hope I didn't do anything too stupid, seeing as how I'm freakishly green to this...)

Thanks! I may not be as active as I would like... mostly due to starting college, but I'll be sure to definitely check out the other boards and see what sort of great experiences I can pull from them!

Awesome to meet you Joshy! Hope you're having fun already, which I assume is the case. I'm so happy you chose to join PC, because we are more than what you'd expect for a Pokemon forum and that's because we're different and like it that way.

I do understand that real life may get in the way of your activity but hopefully you should still try to stay active when you can, but either way it's always great to have more Pokemon fans around! As was mentioned by the heartwarming Dragon himself, don't hesitate to visit whatever boards suit your taste, and there's always something for everyone!

And also, don't feel bad, because I think you did a good job with your intro! Either way, I hope to see you around the forums and if you have a question or concern, Dragon and his fellow staff members are always there for you! Have fun and take care now.

Let me tell you, this community is definitely the best you could stumble upon! As you can probably tell instantly, everyone around here is incredibly kind to each other, which is undoubtedly rare to find, especially in communities like these.

What got you into competitive battling? For me, my best friend introduced me to it by dominating me in a battle, and then proceeding to do so to other players. Needless to say, I was immediately interested in competitve battling, and I plan on defeating him in a battle when I'm more experienced.

Yeah, I've noticed how kind everyone is as well, it's a great and refreshing feeling to see this!

As for competitive battling, I guess you could say it all started when I discovered Serebii.net at the beginning of gen 5, from there I learned all the basics about Natures, EV's, IV's, and breeding simply by exploring the site. I had the basic knowledge... but I wasn't able to implement what I had learned until X and Y.

Baha no worries at all! PC is awesome and everyone is friendly. Plus there are so many of us around to help if you're confused so you should be totally fine here. ;P Welcome, Josh!

Yeah, I didn't get more into EVs and the like until X/Y myself, seems like a lot of people were that way. It's so much easier to breed good competitive 'mons and EV train now so things have become a lot more accessible. That said, I really hope you have an amazing time here and the like. Hope you'll stick around even if you're not able to come online too often. <3

I actually used Super Training a lot in X/Y, but in ORAS, I decided to try the Power items and hoard battling. I don't think I need to say which I prefer, especially considering I can EV train one Pokemon in about 10 minutes with the Power items, lol.

You've come to the right place if you like Pokemon, hehe. If you ever start up that series of Pokemon short stories I would absolutely love to read them! It's always exciting to get to know other people's talents and enjoy their work. I am not so much a writer as I am an artist but I definitely enjoy reading. Good luck with the series!
