this feels like a personal attack

I do wish he would let others shine more. The fans are the ones who basically forced him to keep Goku alive and as the main hero. They complained when it seemed like Gohan was supposed to take over. But Goku has always been the star. DB was always his story.

Goku was supposed to stay dead after Cell so that Gohan took the protagonist spot, but the backlash changed Toriyama's mind

Yeah he was. Honestly I like Future Gohan a tooooooon. He's probably my favorite character and I wish we got to see more of him. But Ultimate Gohan (Buu Saga) is a great character too.
