"Hey come look at this!" "That ain't cool, dude." "Oh..."

Yeah, I showed my friend this comic book series and said " That is dumb. "

Plenty of time. Mostly to my parents, which I showed my interest in anime, manga and most importantly zoology, but they turned me down with all of those things. With anime and manga, they said it was childish. And for zoology they said it's a hobby, not a career, unless you didn't go to high school or college. That's pretty stupid if you ask me.

Yes. My friends think anything that's not in English is dumb. They think me watching shows with subs is dumb along with listening to foreign music. uggh

One time, I showed my sister a Japanese song I had in my iPod, and she thought it wasn't that interesting.

Most of my friends aren't big into cinema, which I sort of am. They don't mock me or anything, but they've made it clear that they have no interest whenever I go off to see old films being reissued or foreign ones. I make it clear I have no interest in their tastes, when they all go off to see Transformers 920332.5 so it works both ways!

(ZOMG 666th post. D:!)
I don't show people new things for the sake of embarrassment. The last time I tried to do something like that was with my 3 year old step-ne.... uh i mean half-sister. I tried to make her watch a children's tv programme and found it very boring. She's more into phones.

Have you ever showed someone your interests, but they didn't get it/understand/cared?
I have done before. I use to try and show my brother either something I found funny or an anime or even a scene from Yu-gi-oh abridged, but he wasn't really hyped up about it as I was.

It has happened before in the past. There are only a few people in my school that I know of that like anime, so...

Uh, let's look at some of my interests:

Tarot, architecture, keeping fish, unheard-of bands...

Yep, happens a lot. It's not a big deal, I guess, since I have a lot of more common interests and my friends like me just fine, anyway.

This seems like one of those things that everyone's experienced at least once in their lives.
