    I got in to the pokemon franchise when I was 8 years old (19 now) and boy where my childhood days fun lol. My opinion is that your never to old for pkmn. I just joined the pokecommunity (all late..yea I know) but any advice and tips would be great!
     
    Well hello there MechanicMewtwo and welcome to PC!

    I've been a fan of Pokemon for around as long as you have, I was 7 when I first started loving the franchise and now I'm 20, and I still love Pokemon because it's such an amazing series of games and it will always be a part of my life. PC is definitely a great place to meet fellow fans such as myself, and the forum is so diverse, even branching out into non-Pokemon topics! Are you excited for X & Y by any chance? The games are going to be awesome and only a month to go. Any plans on what starter you're picking? I'm getting Froakie for sure!

    I'm sure there will be a section on PC you'll eventually settle into, and everyone here is very friendly and helpful. The staff members who can easily be identified by the blue/orange/red usernames are always happy to assist you if you need help. The mod of this section, Cirno, is always there if you have a question, or you can also ask here if you're not sure where something goes etc. I do hope you can stick around here and make some new friends.     Ahh I got into Pokemon when I was 8 as well, and I am 22 now. :) I plan to play Pokemon for many more years to come because well, it's so much fun and it's been there with you ever since it started. I'm really excited for Pokemon XY to come out soon, are you?

    Oh, and you're never too late in joining PC at all! The community is always open for you to join and leave as you please, but you should probably stick around because we have lots and lots of discussions in store for you. Take a brief look in any of the sections we have here, from generation-based sections, as well as off-topic sections that allow you to get to know other members. You'll love it here, really! :D

    I joined this site last month and your right you're never too old :P. It's way too much fun. I also got into Pokemon when I was young, I was 7 when I got my first Pokemon Game.

    This place is so much fun because there is a ton of people our age who still like to play.

    Hey there welcome to PC!

    Hey I joined in 2012 so it's never too late to join this place. Although I sometimes wish I could of been here 5 or 10 years ago to see what it was like back then, I'm still glad I joined when I did. It seems no matter what year, PC has always had friendly memberbase so you should get along fine here. There's a lot to do here too from everything from Pokemon too off-topic things such as anime,music, video games and technology. But on the subject of Pokemon, I personally have been a fan about as long as you have. I got Red version when I was 7 , but have been watching the anime since I was 6! Many of us have been fans since the old days of Red and Blue and still play the games to this very day. I'm 21 and here I am on this forum looking forward to Pokemon X and Y's release. Are you excited for them? They look really good and I can't help but be excited for them.

    But yeah, see you around! If you need anything, the staff in blue, orange , and red are there to help you so feel free to ask them any questions. I'm also free to chat anytime! Hope you have an amazing time here!

    I joined the Pokémon series when I was 6, I'm 19 now and I still have a strong passion for Pokémon and I think I always will.
