Hi all! Just a quick intro thread...these things are standard-issue, right?

I'm Zeria, a 24 year old (insert resigned sigh here) Pokemon fan who, like a lot of people here, has been playing the games since the first generation. Although I'm massively behind on the anime (I've actually been re-watching it for just over a year now; about 3/4 of the way through Advanced Battle at the moment) and I've only read the first few chapters of the Pokemon Special manga...and the only card I now own is the full-art Legendary Treasures Meloetta, because I saw it on eBay and couldn't help myself. Oh, and I have half a dozen plushies. And the original Rival Appears! theme as my ringtone. You'd be amazed at how many people on the street have recognized it over the years.

Other stuff...uh, I watch a lot of anime (I'm trying to keep up with about 13 series right now) and play far too many RPGs for my own good. I'm an aspiring writer - although not a very good one, admittedly; I have my own original stories planned but I write a loooot of fanfiction - and I read a lot. I'm an indoorsy-type person.

I'm looking forward to ORAS, although I'll have to buy them myself, since my birthday is three weeks before the release date (the week-later EU release date, which is quite disappointing/baffling after the worldwide X/Y release) and I'm not waiting til Christmas...not sure I'm even capable of that; Pokemon is one of the few franchises that makes me feel like I'm nine years old again! xD

Uh...that's about it. Any questions, ask away? I hope to get to know some of you better in the days to come~

Hello there, Zeria!~ Nice to see ya around here. :)

I'm (almost) 24, so I know the feeling right there. haha. But don't you sigh like that though, because that sounds like a sigh of SHAME. At PokeCommunity, we never feel ashamed of playing pokemon because of our age. I've been a fan for more than 10 years and I do not regret it ever since. I'm even hyped for ORAS coming next month, heck, it'll come out two days after my birthday lmao.

In the meantime, PC is a great place to interact with peeps your age, and older! You can also explore the different sections we have, we even have an ORAS section to keep up with the hype as well. :) PC also has an off-topic section, where non Pokemon topics are discussed. Like entertainment, hobbies, clubs, technology, even anime! There's always a place for you to hang out at.

I also have a lot of plushies and Pokemon cards as well. I'm a collector myself too, sometimes I can't help it either haha.

Anyways, feel free to shoot me a message if you like, yeah? :3 Have fun, and I hope to see you around :D

Thank you for the great intro (no one ever says that, so I'll say it)! I adore your dedication to Pokemon! I think you could really aspire to something with that. You share a lot in common with my boyfriend (except the plushie part, hopefully). I'm not sure if that's weird or not, but I think we can be great friends! I've only been a member for a short time, but please feel free to ask anything of me.

About the Generations, which was your favorite? Do you have a favorite Pokemon from the Gen? There's so much to ask, but I'll start there.

Ah it's really nice to see you here today Zeria! Welcome to PC.

I'm 22 and I still love Pokemon, in fact for the record I only recently turned 22 so I know how it feels because I get mocked in real life for playing Pokemon at my age, but here at PC we view it much differently and accept you just as you are! I've been into Pokemon since I was only 7, and I do admit I love the franchise even more now than I have back then.

As Denny said above, we have a section for Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire if you're interested in discussing the Hoenn remakes and of course dealing with all the hype. There's also off-topic boards as well for all the non-Pokemon discussion, so feel free to look around and see what interests you!

I actually had a Pikachu plushie when I was younger, in fact I was a huge fan of the little yellow mouse to the point he used to be my fave Pokemon of all time. Sadly cuter ones came along and eclipsed him but he'll always be one I'll love.

Well, have fun and don't hesitate to leave a message if you want to talk! I do hope you can stick around.

Welcome to PC, Zeria! I've been an aspiring writer myself and finally told myself that "the writing is your own, make your imagination go wild". Also, I had some courage from my 9th grade English teacher, haha. I seen that you RP a lot which is good so I would hope to read your work in the Roleplay Section. Also, Fanfiction Section is a good way to get tips for future projects of your own.

Well see you around! I hope you have a good time in PC!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Shame? Absolutely not! More like...resigned, with a little bit of lamenting over my lost youth. Definitely no shame. There is actually a weekly Pokemon tournament/meet-up thing at my local GAME store, and a good 90% of the participants are our age give or take a couple of years! xD

Two days makes it an ideal birthday present, right?~

Well, thank you for reading it and replying! xD
Check under his bed and in his closet. Everyone has their secrets, maybe his is a secret love for plush toys! Or maybe not. But you never know~

My favourite gen...probably the fourth, actually. Whilst the second will always be my favourite in terms of gameplay/design/exploration/nostalgia etc, I found the fourth to be quite exciting; I was really into online battles back in the day. Plus I really like the Legendary designs (especially Giratina) and, it's a small thing, but it was nice to have a female Champion, and one who was harder to beat than any of the previous ones the first time I fought her, at least for me. My favourite Pokemon is Aria Forme Meloetta from the fifth gen, though. It was Shuppet for the longest time though. xD

Like the airmail one on the US Pokemon Store? I'm still annoyed they won't ship to the UK...I really want one of those. xD

More likely the fanfiction section than the roleplay section for me, although I did a lot of roleplaying a few years ago...on Pokemon RP sites, unsurprisingly. My problem is that I'm a perfectionist, though - I write something, then I re-read it and end up deleting/changing most of it. I write very detailed and convoluted story ideas and then never get around to finishing them because the idea in my head never translates to paper quite the way I want it to~

Meloetta? Really? Wow, I'm actually really happy to hear that! I'm actually assisting my boyfriend in writing a fanfiction with Meloetta as part of the lead role. He's really stubborn about how the story's been going. He claims it may never be "publish ready," but I think the story is nice.

I really think you could benefit from an idea share sometime with him. He's had plenty of ideas that he never ended up writing. If you want to, his username is ZenonPrototype. PM him sometime! Great, here I am endorsing him on someone else's welcome thread. Sorry!

    Another anime fan, great! :)
I see you already found it, but just in case a reminder we have a section just for that.

    Welcome aboard!

Sounds...intriguing. I've never actually read any fanfiction where a Pokemon is the lead character - if he ever publishes it online for the world to see, perhaps I'll give it a look-in :3

I shall keep this in mind...if/when I have any ideas worth sharing. I'm working on a three-part Digimon fanfic at the moment that hasn't gotten past the "messy Word document" stage. xD

    [PokeCommunity.com] Hi~

What sort of a---never mind. *checks your list*

According to MAL, we're medium-high compatability! Although you're a lot nicer with your scores than I am. xD

Great to see another Gundam fan, though! Are you watching the new seasons? I'm considering giving Reconguista a miss until I see its Char equivalent - I loathed Eureka Seven, and the art style is exactly like it; it's horrendously off-putting at first glance - but a second season of Build Fighters...I cheered when I saw it announced. The first was amazing. xD

ARE YOU A DANGANROPPA FAN?! Niiiice. <33 I think we can get along just fine. :3

Oh and welcome to the forums, pal! I'm looking forward to ORAS myself, and I preordered Omega Ruby myself! Mmm but yeah, I hope you'll enjoy your time; if you need any assistance, you can always ask one of us! Especially myself!

And have a great time! I look forward on seeing you again soon. n__n

YES I AM! xD I finished the first game last week, and the second is in my Vita right now...although I've not started it yet. I'm just procrastinating on it a bit...I mean, building up my anticipation for it. But the first game (and the anime adaptation, which I actually watched first) was fantastic <3

    Thanks for the welcome~

I'm guessing your favourite character is Aoi? :3

Mine was Celeste till' she got.. crazy. XD

Indeed! I love how unfailingly optimistic she is for 90% of the game, despite the fact that her classmates are dropping around her.

    Celeste's semi-French accent was quite alluring...but yes, she was quite disturbing when she went insane. I found it quite funny to find out her drill twintails are actually clip-ons, though. xD;

Your signature also shows you are a Tales of Xillia fan...I've finished the second game twice now <3

Yeah, I just finished the game myself and it was awesomeeee. <33 Do you play some of the Tales games too? o:

I've played all of the Tales games that have been released in the UK thus far (and got the platinum trophies for Symphonia, Dawn of the New World and Xillia...I'm four trophies away from Xillia 2's at the moment) so...yeah, I'd say I was a fan of the series. xD

My favourite is actually Eternia on the PSP, though...Meredy is unbearably adorable. Which ones have you played, and which is your favourite?~

I would so love to have a Pokemon ringtone if I wasn't worried of it going off during work or somesuch, heh. But that is just awesome. Welcome, Zeria! Good to meet you. :)

Long-time Pokemon fan here as well, got into it during my kid days at age 8 or 9 and am 23 now. The franchise really is growing so much as time goes on and there's always something new to keep us fans interested. OR/AS especially are killing me! I swear I get even more excited for new games than I did back as a kid. Which is a good thing, of course. ;P

Happy having anime fans as well! Ahhh anime is just so great. You should definitely discuss your favorite series with us in the Anime & Manga board but I think the entire forum would be great for you as you seem fun and chatty. Stick around, yes?!

Gods we have a lot in common - I've played the majority of the Tales games myself! Let's see... my favourites include Symphonia, which actually Symphonia Dawn of the New World was my first tales game, which got me interested in the original! Loved it dearly! Symphonia Dawn of the New World was pretty fun too, but, I just had to say I had more fun playing Symphonia.

Mmm, another favourite is Vesperia, which I managed to play the -complete- version, meaning the PS3 version one, in which I enjoyed it very much, haha. Hm, I also liked Phantasia, Destiny 2, Rebirth, Graces, Innocence, and Eternia wasn't bad too!

Favourite characters have to be Rita, Pascal, annnnd a few others but I'd be here all day, haha. ;o; Have you heard about the new Tales game? I aim to check that out too. :]

I actually had it go off in the middle of a lecture in my second year at University...at the time, it was extremely embarrassing, although that was more due to the fact that it went off just as the lecturer paused and I was sitting close to the front so he picked up on it instantly. xD

Indeed! I guess we appreciate these things more now that we're older, right? I find that I've gotten more cynical towards games I've gotten older, but Pokemon is one of the few exceptions to the rule...I didn't care much for Hoenn the first time around (although I DID enjoy Emerald, since it let you fight both teams at once, plus there was the Battle Frontier stuff) but I'm definitely excited for the remakes~

    Thanks for the welcome <3

Dawn of the New World had some fantastic skits...Tenebrae made that game worthwhile for me. Some of the things he came out with...he was like a more droll, canine version of Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service. Symphonia was my first game, and I loved it too - it was my first JRPG that wasn't a Final Fantasy game, and I loved the cel-shaded style. Great plot, too.

I've been meaning to import the PS3 version somewhen, but playing a game in Japanese sounds arduous...as does doing the Secret Challenges again. Once was more than enough for those. xD

The crazy characters! xD Rita for her Tidal Wave spam, Pascal for...being Pascal. The only non-serious character in Graces f...gods, was she needed. xD
Do you mean Zestiria, or Hearts R? The former looks interesting although I've not looked into it too much, the latter I have on preorder and am dying to get my hands on. I'm a bit annoyed it's subbed only, but I have hopes for Innocence R being localized now...and maybe Vesperia on PS3. Maybe. It'd be nice to play it again; I sold my 360 years ago. xD

Oh, please add me as friend in MAL so we can share our thoughts later :)

I love Gundam, and I do hate Eureka Seven's designs... yet I love Tomino directing, so I couldn't care less in this case :P

    build fighters <3
