    Hello, everyone!

My name's Admison, and I'm fairly new to this community. Before registering, I was already checking out this community for a couple of days, and I immediately realized that I wanted to be part of this fantastic community. Every time I checked out a topic, everyone was just, overall, really respectful to each other, and I really like that about this specific community. Though I've only been here for short amount of time, I plan on staying with this community for a very long time. I want to contribute in any way possible, much like current members, so you'll definitely be seeing me up and about.

I discovered this forum while searching online for battling and team building tips, and after reading a few topics about the matter, I started looking around more and found out that this is essentially the go-to community if you want to discuss Pokémon games, trade, or anything of the sort. This community is a really good way to make new friends and discuss topics that likewise interest others. Which is exactly why I've grown so fond of this community in the time-span of a couple days.

Overall, there isn't really anything that special about me. I honestly think of myself as just an average 17-year-old gamer and high school attendee. I've moderated several forums in the past, and it was overall just a great time, I enjoyed myself a lot! I've also taught myself web design, graphic design, and even some game development, ranging from actual coding, to minimal things such as Pokémon Essentials. I'm not the best, but I still enjoy doing it nonetheless. I really enjoy meeting new people and just helping out in general.

So that pretty much wraps it up for me. I really look forward to being a part of this community!

Hello Admison! Welcome to the site! We look forward to seeing your contributions during your time here! Also, if you need a friend, we have lots of friendly people here, including myself! I myself have only moderated one forum, and it was run by an angry, discriminatory administrator. Since you enjoy graphic design, why not check out the Art & Design forum? And if your interested in making games with Essentials, check out the Game Development forum! I hope to see you around here!

Nice to meet you! As far as anything game related goes, this forum simply can't be beat. You've come to the right place!

I've also dabbled in IT stuff for the past three years, mainly web design, program construction and occasionally making a small game or two. What kind of software do you use?

Nonetheless we're glad to have you, welcome to PC!

Since you were searching for battling and team building tips, I must ask; are you a competitive battler?

I used to be one, but nowadays, not so much, unfortunately. I still am, sort of, but I don't tend to keep up with things as much as I used to when I'd first gotten into the scene five years ago back in 2010. If you do battle competitive, which would be one Pokémon you find yourself using most of the time? For me, it'd likely have to be Gyarados. Although it is slightly hard to set up and whatnot, but once we're done with this, Gyarados would immediately be ready for sweeping; it's fun to use!

If you have some of your graphical work to show, I'd definitely recommend visiting Art & Design forum, since that's our prime area for these sort of things; I'm sure you'll have fun hanging around there. Anyhow, big welcome to PC, Admison! I hope you enjoy your stay!

I appreciate the suggestions, I'll do just that! As for moderating forums, I've never really been interested in "dictator"-esque administrators. Whenever I witness that, I lose all interest in that community and wind up leaving or just becoming inactive. The overall forum staff and how they express themselves are more vital than they may think. I hope you don't mind if I add you as a friend even though you offered.

    See you around!

Hey! The software I use varies. I like experimenting a lot, and in the end, I compare and contrast each piece of software that I experimented with, and the one that comes out with overall the best pros, I purchase, or keep installed (some of the best software can be free!).

For game development, I use various pieces of software. It entirely depends on the game I sought after making. For example, for 3D games that include physics, I use Unreal Engine, as they use PhysX, and in my opinion, it comes out on top.

As for web design, I use a variety of software ranging from graphic design to FTP. The compare and contrast method comes into works here as well. I personally use Adobe Photoshop CS6 for graphic design, Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 for editing various PHP and/or HTML files, and FileZilla for file transferring. What about you?

Glad to see someone with likewise interests as me. See you around!

Hey! I am currently not much of a competitive battler which is why I was looking around for tips regarding battling and team building. That being said, I do plan on later getting into some competitive battling. I find it really awesome that you've been competitive battling since 2010. Perhaps a veteran could help a novice out! As of right now, I don't have a go to Pokémon, but in the future I'll definitely remember to tell you when I have one.

Thanks for the "Graphics & Art" suggestion, I'll definitely check it out! See you around!

Welcome aboard, Admison! It's such a pleasure to meet you and I hope you're having fun. I'm a tad late though so everyone else covered what I was going to say, but I'll still be happy to say hello regardless!

Like the others already said, if you're a graphic artist we have the Art & Design section for that, as well as Game Development which has a section dedicated entirely to Pokemon Essentials so hopefully that will have everything you need in your journey to create awesome fangames. As for A&D, you can showcase your work in your own gallery thread and you can also give critique on fellow members' work. Both sections should keep you busy, but do take time and explore other areas if you wish.

If you ever have questions, you are always free to contact any staff member in the bold usernames, and don't feel intimidated since PC staff are really nice and are always happy to assist with anything. See you around for now and good luck with your projects!

    [PokeCommunity.com] Hi

Hiii! Yeah, this community is pretty great; loads of friendly and respectful people and there are a ton of things here to do! This is a couple of days late, but, I hope that you're enjoying yourself here so far, and welcome to the forums! I'm Dragon~!

    [PokeCommunity.com] Hi

Likewise, I wanted to join to meet new pals and to discuss any aspect of the pokemon franchise with them, in which yeah, fortunately we do have a really great battle and trade community here, so you can check that out whenever you'd like to! Of course, we have many other boards to choose from, in which I hope that you'll have fun with those as well~!

    [PokeCommunity.com] Hi

And it's been really great getting to know you! I hope everything goes well for you in the future, and I hope that we can chat sometime; feel free to give me a me a message, like a VM or a PM! And have a wooonderful day~!

You sure have a lot of experience in regards to art.. pretty awesome, I'd say. I'm an artist and writer so from what you've written so far I'm sure we're going to get along swimmingly. :') I mostly draw digitally on Photoshop or Fire Alpaca (Mac's version of SAI, or as close as you'll get lmao) and make graphics and have for years. Game development sounds pretty awesome as well.

Welcome though, Admison! So good to meet you! Just letting you know that I've merged your multiple posts into one post since we don't allow that here usually. If you're the last poster and no one has posted after you we recommend using the "edit" button, or clicking "MultiQuote" (quotation mark with a plus next to it in some forum themes) to quote more than one person in a single post.

Much luck learning battling and the like, have a good time here. ♥

For web design I think that any Adobe program is second to none - Dreamweaver's easy to use, Photoshop creates some interesting graphics and Flash is great for animated sections. Animation and cartooning are hobbies of mine so that's probably the best bit.

For creating simple computer programs I use Python (fun fact: the software was named after Monty Python and Eric Idle). Let it be known that I have been a victim of unknown syntax errors way too many times!
"My program doesn't work, I have no idea why."
    *2 minutes later*
"My program works, I have no idea why."
That's pretty much the gist of it. Through loads of experimentation I've managed to create calculation, Q&A and even choose-your-own-adventure programs!

Game development is on a bit of a stall for me, but never really took off in the first place. I used (groan) Scratch to make a few super simple games ranging from racing to survival to mazes to platformers......... the list goes on. I'm hoping to get into more complicated stuff, which should be soon as I'm now in my 4th year of a High School IT course so I should be able to understand it.

Hi there! It was a pleasure getting to know you and your background on why you joined PokéCommunity, you seem like a really fun person to hang around with!

Hi, Sheep! I first want to start off by apologizing for quoting members individually, I wasn't aware that it wasn't usually allowed. I must of overlooked that while checking out the rules. But all in all, it's a lot more organized anyway. Thanks for editing that for me and informing me about it. I'll definitely do start multiquoting from here on out.

It's great to meet someone who also has similar interests as me. I agree, I feel like we'll definitely get along together. I really appreciate you wishing me luck.

Oh definitely. Whenever I decide on comparing and contrasting programs, if Adobe provides software for that specific thing, they'll definitely be the first to be installed. Not only do Adobe programs tend to get the job done expeditiously, they also are very user-friendly as well, which is always a +1 from me!

I know that feeling of a program not working then suddenly working with no apparent reasons, haha. Programming is complicated stuff for sure, but when you get the hang of it, it is undoubtedly a lot of fun to make programs -- and games -- work the way you want it to. I started out with Scratch, but eventually branched off into the more "intermediate" stuff, if you will. And it's definitely been a fun experience.

    Pleasure talking to you!

Hello! Thanks for the compliment and welcome! That compliment was utmost appreciated and just what I needed to make this day that much better! By just reading that post, I can automatically depict that you're also a very kind person. Not to mention your other posts in various other topics say so too. And you're right, I definitely intend to stick around for a long time!

In the near future I do plan on showing some of my graphic designs in the A&D section but as of right now, I don't really have much to show off as my computer kicked the bucket about a two weeks. Luckily I was able to buy another one. Unluckily, I lost my programs and such.

Anyway, again, thanks for the welcome, it was great meeting you!

I'm still planning on learning the basics of competitive battling, yes. In regards to Pokémon Battle Cards, I've never actually battled with them. I'm more of a collector than anything -- I like to show them off to my friends, haha.

I never actually thought about drawing Pokémon cards, but it seems like a good idea! Like I said in my original post, I taught myself to graphically design. So yes, I'm also a fan of art as well. Especially if the art reflects my interests!
