I found PokeCommunity through Google. I wanted to start ROM Hacking PMD and found Sebbe's Toolkit through Google. I figured out I had to join in order to download the tool, and so there I was! A new born member of PC! I only became active in the forums, though. How about you?

How did you discover about PC? Was it a friend, was it a search engine, was it another forum, was it some sort of advertisement?

I went to report some glitches in the Shiny Gold thread in another forum and the author, Zel, told me that he had uploaded a more recent version here.

    Go Rom-Hacking nerds XD

I believe it was through another, now-defunct, forum called Pokemon World or something similar. It was probably through someone's signature and I was going through that phase where I was just joining every which where I could in order to become a mod. Ah, the naivety of being 13...

When B/W came out I wanted people to talk to about it because my friends kept restarting their games so they didn't want to be spoiled. So I googled "Pokemon forum" and clicked the first one and here I am.

I first learned about PC from another user here. I ddnt really think much of it at first. Then last summer, on another forum the topic of discussion became PC. I was mindly interested so I went to the website and made an account. Thats it really.

It was Astinus, a moderator here. She introduced me to this place on another forum, and I've since ditched that other place in favor of PC :) Of course, I originally came here for fan fiction, which I've also for all intents and purposes ditched.

In about 2008 I was really interested in learning how to code in Visual Basic after seeing a load of tutorials pop up on youtube. I'd also recently learnt about emulation and rom hacking so I thought I'd put the two together and see how you make a rom hacking tool. After searching around a bit a tutorial popped up here and I joined up so that I could download the attachments. Then after I'd downloaded them I left and PC kept popping up whenever I wass searching for things I so thought "why not just stick around here?" and so I did :D

It was the New Zealand winter of '08. A young, 14 year old member called Libra-Nator on the Pokemon Elite 2000 forum was bored and in need of entertainment. All the regulars of that forum had gone to sleep and there was no one to sustain poor Libra-Nator's needs. But not to be deterred, little Libra-Nator looked around the forums in an effort to find some way to entertain himself. He searched and he searched and he searched, but alas, nothing he found could satisfy the poor little boy. He did have homework to do, but when you're 14 and a regular on a Pokemon forum, who does their homework?
    Then he found it.
A link in a signature titled 'PokeCommunity'. Libra-Nator clicked on the link and was welcomed by a sight of a brand new forum brimming with threads to post in and people to meet. Libra-Nator joined immediately under the highly original, wait for it, username of Libra. He had arrived.

And that, children, is the story of how the scourge known as Harlequin came to arrive at the PokeCommnity. He did not arrive on the Mayflower, he did not cross illegal borders to join access to this foreign land. No, he clicked a link in a signature and proceeded to spread his tentacles across the reaches of the forum.

Probably the same reason most people came here after it went up: Pokémon Shiny Gold. I joined under a different name to download Pokémon Shiny Gold. I made an introduction thread, with the intention of staying, but abandoned it for a year. Then I rediscovered the forum after looking for the Pokémon forum I remembered with the 10th Anniversary Pocket Monsters theme. I remembered there being an admin that peaked my interest, and I found his MSN address and talked to him and he convinced me to rejoin and be active. yayayay!

o.o I was feeling nostalgic about pokemon and began to google search reliving memories of another forum. Anyway whilst searching it came to PC so decided to have a look and joined.

At least I think that's what happened. My brain is fried so sometimes I come up with false memories.

The short sweet story is I had no one to talk about Pokemon with because I don't make it a known fact irl and so I googled "Pokemon Forum" and made an account at the first two websites that popped up, which was here and Serebii. I joined and left Serebii on the same day and stuck here because I thought it had nicer themes.

An old internet friend of mine told me about PC. The only big Pokemon forum I'd seen back then was Serebii so I was curious to see what this one was like. I joined and then went inactive for several months. :p

Through some random search on Pokemon on Google, but I've been around for quite a while actually, as a guest. :D
