Mm, I did 4 major moves when I was a kid. I don't remember the first one since I was only two, but we moved from Toronto to Edmonton. Then at 6, Edmonton to Vancouver. Then at 7, Vancouver to Halifax. Finally, I moved from Halifax back to the Toronto area at age 12. I'm thankful for these experiences but man it really sucked leaving friends behind and having to make new ones. Sometimes we'd go back and visit but it was never the same. (Thankfully the internet made the last move a LOT more tolerable.)
I guess I've moved a few times since then, too. I moved away to university but I barely count it since it's only about an hour and a bit away from Toronto. For the first few years whenever I'd move up to dorms or wherever I was staying, I'd mostly just be bringing essentials and leaving the bulk of my stuff at my parents' house before going back for the summers and whatnot. Eventually, though, my brother ended up attending the same university so my parents bought a townhouse to rent the rest of the rooms out. Soon after that, my parents split up and moved out of the family house so I just moved all my stuff up to the townhouse and tossed the rest. So now the townhouse is "home" and to me, that counts as a move.
So yeah, I've moved 5 times then, I guess?
