Huge Power Distribution

Looks for Pokemon with low base stat totals. Picks something that could use it effectively too.

- Ariados. Evolves at 22. Improves upon its best stat (base 90 Attack). Knows moves to become even more threatening, such as Swords Dance and Fell Stinger. Counterbalances it with its awful Speed stat (base 40).

- Mightyena. Gives this dog some bite to match its bark. Threatens opponents with elemental fangs. Tosses out mean Sucker Punches eventually too.

Passed over some others because of not fixing their problems OR too early of an evolution. See: Beedrill, Delibird, Luvdisc, Delcatty, Ledian, Kricketune.

I would look for something small to give Huge Power to.

I'm going to talk about competitive because there's no point referring to "OP" in-game given they're as easy or hard as you want them to be (definitely skewing too easy for me though, unless I want to reduce enjoyment by not exploring and catching 'em all);

  • Raichu - as HA. Gives it something to see it actually get usage competitively, whereas for as long as I've been playing it's been a non-entity, whilst it's pre-evo at least got play as a gimmick with Light Ball
  • Slaking - as HA, programmed into the game but never made available. Just to mess with everyone
  • Spinda - an underpowered gimmick Pokémon, who suddenly became more valuable due to combined ICLA and GF incompetence, would now hit with 120 base attack. Normal is a great attacking type too. Still having base 60 in the other five stats stops it being OP as it would only barely be viable in Trick Room (Scarf isn't helping when you're that slow).
  • Sunkern - IIRC it has base 20 stats across the board. Now, with its new HA, it has base 40 attack! Still useless!
  • Wailord - the complete opposite of the theme, giving a literally huge Pokémon the ability Huge Power

I've envisioned this on Slaking for a while. Rampardos would be a fun one too. Both would not be balanced at all but it would be entertaining.

Huge Power Machamp would be very interesting because I think, as a concept, that'd work for it.
