that was creepy.... but touching I'm glad that Connie's mom finally knows the truth and of coarse both Connie and Steven showed there love for there mothers. I found it amazing that she actually accepted it and realized shes a bit overprotective instead of stopping her from seeing steven till a later episode (which was expected) Gotta love Connie Episodes though <3

Thoughts on Nightmare Hospital:

This episode was awesome! Connie and Steven make a great team. I liked that the conflict with Connie's mother wasn't completely resolved at the end, but I'm pretty sure Connie will be allowed to fight in the next big crisis.

Speaking of a next big crisis, this episode leaves me with a bad feeling. First of all, Garnet said in Keeping It Together to poof and bubble all the mutants. That means either some escaped or some were already harvested, or (even worse) there's another Kindergarten we don't know about. This also means that Homeworld Gems can probably send the mutants to attack civilians whenever they feel like it.

Maybe a mutant army will be what appears on Earth's "expiration date?"

EDIT: Connie's mother works with the Re-Animator, Dr. West? XD

It's probably Peridot that's making the mutants and sending the out, and she likely directed them to Beach City to go after the gems. She said she got all the info she needed from the mutants in Keeping it Together, so she can probably make new ones whenever the materials are available to her.

Which might mean she's going around slaughtering corrupted gems and shattering them to fuse together. So that's a thing.

Shouldn't Connie's mother have known that the mutants weren't human? She had to know about the Crystal Gems because she and the rest of Connie's family left Beach City when Peridot and Jasper invaded.

Well when they left Beach City its because the gems told everyone to go so her parents just went with it plus she couldnt tell her parents they were mutants because she'd been lying to them about a whole lot of other things. Connie's mom knows about the crystal gems however i dont believe theres any evidence they know theres "aliens"(gems) trying to invade the planet. So its doubtful she knew anything about mutants that were linked to the gems. Atleast i think xD

What did you all think of the depressing/terrifying new ending song that played at the end of Nightmare Hospital?

On the ending - I think the ending is deliberately written so that it can apply to every character we see in the show. The trend I've seen is that no character in the show is without flaws. None. Even Rose had her very obvious flaws, and almost every character is shown to deal with those flaws in some way or another too, which is why I think the opening is relatable for all of them.

On nightmare hospital:

I read a very interesting theory about why the humans in Beach City and why Connie's mom aren't "alarmed" by the mutants. It said that the reason was that gems as a species have been a part of human history in the SU world. The gem war was thousands of years ago and has probably been written about, just like things in our own history, humans probably evolved with the idea of gems being a part of it. I thought that made a lot of sense.

I don't know... I kinda see it, but in Love like You the line "when I see the way you act/Wonderin' when I'm coming back" makes me think it's a specific character. Then again, it could be the POV of all the show's characters.

Thoughts on Sadie's Song:

That sure wasn't the episode I expected. The writers really do love fleshing out background characters. Good moral, and awesome save by Steven! And good continuity with Sadie's scar.

Definitely not the ending I expected. I thought we'd end up seeing the cliche type of plot where the character stops being worried to go on stage because she realizes how much fun it is and how it's not actually scary.. but that isn't realistic at all. Sadie's a very likable character and I'm glad we ended up with Steven filling in for her instead. Just because someone says they want to do something doesn't mean they actually want to do it. It's a complex thing that I can really understand. Really good episode and a nice breather from the other, more plot-driven ones we've been getting. The non-gems need love too. :') And Jamieeee!

What?! They just ended the episode there?! 0_0 So much crazy stuff went down!
I'm glad they finally caught Peridot. It sure took long enough. Plus, we get more proof that Peridot's like a teenager on her first mission or something. I figured her body parts were robotic, but I didn't think her real body would be so small.

Well, I guess we now know that the small clusters are actually tests for the... large one? And the next episode will also be about Steven and Peridot? I'm probably going to find her annoying really fast, but this could lead to some very exciting developments.

Peridot is adorable, and I really hope I've been wrong about her this whole time and that she stops being evil.

I still have my Jasper hate to cling to, though.

omg. Some people are out there screaming that they called it but I didn't at all. Peridot is so short and... cute. I love her five times more with each episode she gets, she was so much more amusing as a tiny thing than when she was a robot look-alike (but I love her regardless).

So she'll be living in their bathroom now?? Peridot reformation plan a-go. I wonder if she'll end up befriending Steven and joining the Crystal Gems or pull a Zuko from Avatar the Last Airbender and flop back and forth between sides.

Sadie's Song

I like the mother-daughter theme that Sugar has going on with the latest episodes, and how it relates back to Steven not knowing his mother; particularly how he watches Connie and her mother and Sadie and her mother mend their bonds. It did feel cliche at first - Sadie sort of wanting to sing, then her mother coming and taking over and making it all more grandiose than she wanted - but it was pleasing that they just talked with Steven taking Sadie's spot as mystery guest. Also, the return of Olivia Olsen's voice!

Wow, Sugar really downgraded Peridot, but wow she's adorable now. Anyway it's curious how Garnet didn't believe Peridot had anything of use to say originally, shrugging off Steven, then believed her the next time around. I like how she's been given some personality in this episode - namely, curiosity and wonder - and how she and Steven are now on decent terms, but what's really worrisome is The Cluster. Interesting Episode i do like the mother daughter theme alot but i really was convinced she was going to go on stage in the end dressed as herself or something. But seeing steven on stage was just as good haha

Peridot is so small! Shes kinda cute too and her voice fits her size in a way haha, I really enjoyed this episode though we learned alot about earth and the cluster and that the planet will probably be destroyed and thats what Peridot has been worried about this whole time. Its also kinda cool that peridot and steven are kinda friends now perhaps Peridot will switch sides one day?

I agree with this basically it seems to be the most expected on what the cluster is and what will happen when it finally emerges but i do want to know if yellow diamond will make an appearance in the future i gotta ask why? Cause shes not coming to Peridot or the Crystal Gems aid so what would be her motive if earth is to be destroyed? This episode obviously got me thinking haha i cant wait for next weeks!

When It Rains

...a gem cluster bigger than the entire earth? Wow, that's some catastrophe homeworld had planned. I'm seriously wondering how the CGs will end up stopping that thing. @_@ But it's official, Peridot is the cutest character on the entire show. Did you see her afraid-of-rain and I-trust-Steven-now faces? So adorable. Her eyes look like fried eggs! GAH. I really hope she will become part of the Crystal Gems because I really don't want her to go back to being a minor character.

So, like, would the cluster just float around after snapping the Earth, or would it go around to other planets and kill them as well? Because that's the kind of thing that can only end with the Homeworld being destroyed as well. Who's idea was that, exactly?
