What do you guys tend to do with the money you receive or own?

Like myself, do you spend it all in one place?
Or, are you the type of person that likes to save more?
Or maybe it just depends on how much money you receive or own?
Perhaps it depends of your given situation?
Do you have any plans for spending money on something specific in the future?

Long ago, the Swabians drove the Scottish away from the land both were living in as they considered them to be horribly wasteful.

My grandfather, despite being neither Swabian nor Scot, however, is (according to my father) someone they could look up to in terms of stinginess, and I've kinda inherited that. So I like saving my money, but I do have a weakness for delicious foods.

I wish I had it in me to save money, but I usually spend it on the Kindle eBook store, Video Games, or clothing. I really need to start saving since i'm going to have to relocate soon for a job. D:

As for plans to spend, I wouldn't mind getting a 3DS again.

I set a goal (usually a something expensive, or a crapload of stuff I found on Amazon). Then I save until I get enough money. Then I buy them at once. Then I enjoy them until I'm done playing/reading/listening/whatever, and I look for another goal.

I try to save my money.

    I try really hard.

    It works on a typical basis, but sometimes when enough builds up in my account I do end up buying games, or Homestuck stuff, or random things on J-List. XD;

I hold onto it for a ridiculous amount of time until one day I find something I truly want and then I spend it. I just love the feeling of having money when I need it even though I never use it. I really can't remember the last time I bought something for myself with my own money. If I'm going to spend it I honestly rather buy someone else something. I feel like they would enjoy whatever I buy them more than anything I could buy for myself at anytime.

My spending is kind of bad. What gets me is I'll make a lot of small food purchases, which add up over time. I really need to start an emergency savings, but lately I've been caught up in bills anyway. :(

When it comes to spending money for fun, if it's over $20, I get frugal. Yet I'll spend more than that on tasty food. I don't get it.

I end up getting gas with my paychecks, lol. I usually save up for upcoming games if I can, though. And I have to pay my media package every month. sux

I buy Doctor Who DVDs. And then I buy snacks to eat while I watch them. And that's pretty much all I spend my money on. Beyond like... bus fare, outing money and the occasional book or article of clothing.

I'm really bad at saving. .__.

I save and save and save and then spend it all over the summer visiting my boyfriend. xD; Or if he stays in Ireland this summer on going to Otakon. But spending money is just...painful for me. I'm so crazy about worrying for the future, to the point that I wouldn't even use stickers as a kid because I was too afraid I would want them later so I ended up giving them to my sister since she had no such qualms. I'm like that with money too.

With the difficult economy and all, I usually save the majority of my pocket money. Seems more sensible to save more for the future at the moment rather than spending things often... As of right now, academics are essentially a top priority, so I intend to account for those costs. >_> I'm hoping that I can buy more videogames in the future someday once I'm able to begin earning more money, but it seems like that dream is a long way off. :cer_cry: I'll try to be optimistic, though...

To buy one video game (for a console, not PC) I have to save for at least 2 months @.@

Sooo... I save It and buy games, simple as that xD

I'm big on saving. I think most of the money I do spend right now goes to my local movie theatre and one of my three local 7Elevens lol. I don't buy much lately, I just go see movies a lot. But most of my money still gets saved because I like to have something to show for my job.

I have always had a hard time spending money so I save it instinctively. I've been feeling a bit less guilty recently I suppose since I've splurged on some expensive clothing. (Only I have the red one in green instead.)

It's ridiculous how much I love these. :)

I'm saving to buy a car. I don't have a job yet, so I can't do much real budgeting, but my strategy is as follows:
If I get a few dollars (like up to ten) I just keep it and spend it on random stuff. Usually protein bars.
If I get a little more (about ten to maybe twenty dollars) I keep half and put the other half in the bank.
And if I get more than twenty it all goes in the bank.
It makes sense to me, in my mind, even though my friend thinks its kinda silly. She's just not good at saving money, I think. xD

Unless it's Christmas time (where I spend too much on my family, lol) then I'm really good at saving money. I just keep thinking about finally getting a car as motivation. ;)

I try to save it for the most part, but then I'll see a new anime or manga release that I just have to have, and I'll go and order it.

At least I'm not as bad as my brother, who feels the need to blow money shamelessly on multiple DVD's each time he goes to the store, bot to mention recent big-ticket purchases like a new flat screen TV. I mean, I just can't picture myself spending $40 every week and then buying something for $250 every now and then.

I'd rather spend a little but try to save as much as I can for a rainy day/a nice vintage automobile.

For the most part, I save my money. If I withdraw any amount of money from my bank account, I tend to spend most of it on what I want (Yu-Gi-Oh cards particularly).
