I fear that I'm slightly obsessed with my hair!

This is not really a serious debate but more of a fun sort of discussion. I'm kind of obsessed with my hair. I have dyed it so many colours and had it in so many styles it's getting irritating. When its long I want it short, when it's short I want it long [like now] , I want it blonde when its dark and dark when its blonde, and the same goes for red, purple etc. I suppose it could be described as somewhat vain but I fear there's something wrong with me with my obsessive dyeing/bleaching/styling and that one day my hair might fall outor become sverely damaged fromall the abuse o.o

I think it branches from the fact that when I was small I never brushed my hair and it was a tangled mes...then I hit my preteens and wondered what the hell I was thinking and now I'm obsessed with it looking right o.O

So does anybody else feel like this about their own hair? Or is it just me in my own little creepy...hair obsessed world? xD

Why dont you get a few human hair wigs.. so if you want to switch it up randomly for a day.. then you could just do it.
I honestly see no wrong in it. It's not like it's a toupee where you're hiding a bald spot.. it's just for if you wanted a random change that day. You can get some great wigs for like $20.. AND you can dye them with alcohol and FW ink (I've done it for cosplays)

I actually need a haircut.. but I also love my hair. I used to use this leave-in mender that'd repair my hair like new if I used it only once a week.. but then they stopped manufacturing it :C So I'm on the hunt to find something as amazing. Dove intensive repair shampoo coupled with the conditioner acts pretty good.. but not as good as the other mender used to be.

I currently have my hair as my natural colour, with blue on the underside of my bangs and two peek-a-boo panels of blue in the back to balance the front. I want to let the back grow out and just keep the blue in my bangs, though. (Easier upkeep since blue fades every two weeks) But I've had it like this for about a year and a bit. I love it.

I see nothing wrong with caring about your hair but I'm the opposite.
I hate dealing with my hair, I'd shave it all off if it suited my face but it doesn't.

I never colour or even visit the hairdressers (I have a deep fear of them and only cut my own hair rarely)
My hair routine consists of washing it, brushing it, slapping some hair cream on it and walking out of my house. Otherwise I put it up in a bun

Unfortunately I don't live in the states :( and your hair sounds really awesome :D Unfortunately "extremes of haircolour" are banned in our school :(

Ahh we have Aussie brand here [Don't know if you can get it] which has great leave-in conditioners :) You could probably order them online :]

My hair was naturally mousy brown but then I bleached it in the summer, last night I ued hair dye stripper and guess what was under all the red/brown hair dye? Blonde :L So I'm blond again :L

I would shave it all off too! But I'd be in an even worse situation than I am now :L

I just don;t go to the hairdressers because it's too expensive and I don't like when they start tutting athow awful your hair is :s I can't do anything with my hair at the moment cause it's in a weird shaped bob :P

I look after my hair very much so.
I like looking after my appearance and if I don't look how my hair is, then I will make sure it is right. Haha.

You can probably find some good quality wigs anyways o_o
And that kinda sucks.. but then you could go crazy when you get out of school. Also they make those clip-on colour hairpieces that you can clip to the underside of your hair for like some peek-a-boo pink, blue, and etc haircolour. If they say to change your hair, you can just clip them off for the school day.

I've tried one of Aussie conditioners.. it was alright, but the leave-in mender was a lot better.

I know some salons do hair repair therapy for some severely damaged hair. It costs quite a bit (like $35) but they'll restore hair that has the texture of straw/hay/is breaking off like crazy to something relatively damn healthy.

I've always gone to the salon. I couldn't go to a regular hairdressers because I'm picky and I hate when stylists don't seem to know what they're doing. I wish i could walk into a place and ask to see their portfolios :C I have to find a new stylist cause my old one moved to the states.. and I dunno where to go for a good cut.

Yeah, I can't wait to finish school in about a year and a half :D I was thinking of some brightly coloured streaks, but not all over cause I don't think I could be bothered with bleaching and dyeing everytime it grows a little bit :/

Well I know V05 do hot oil treatments you can do at home, and they're alright only they're really hot to put on and i get more in the sink than on my hair xD my hairs naturally coarse and curly and i feel I have to tame it with my flat irons [my fringe, at least] That's the problem with having short hair... its higher maintenance than long hair in that you cant just tie it back when its bothering you :(

The salons okay, I just cant afford to go more regularly than a few times a year, living in a rural area in Ireland with no jobs going. My original short hairstyle was from a salon visit, and I wasnt paying attention when he asked me if I wanted it cut up at the back and I said yes... o.O

I don't look after my hair much because I like it the way it is (spiky). I do comply with the occasional haircuts, though.

Hair is fun, there's nothing wrong with enjoying it.
I don't do much to my hair, but I love the way it looks. It's nice and thick when my barber doesn't take it upon herself to thin it out. :cer_laugh:

I don't like the fact of dying my hair, 1) because I like the color, and 2) I've heard it can really damage your hair if you keep it up. However I deep condition it often and love to keep it silky and long. I get trimmed bangs of different styles often, and I often love to brush it.

But then, I'm somewhat self-obsessed when it comes to appearances.

Yeah it can if you don't bother to deep condition or anything like that. I do it all the time, and considering all the dyeing and straightening I've done to my hair, its in pretty good shape. :) Unfortunately until my hair grows again I have to straighten it or it just looks.....crazy to tell the truth :P

I'm quite obsessed with my hair, I wash and condition it on a daily basis and style it every day, even if i'm not going out, which is often. I use V05 fibre putty to do a... thing. A swept sort of... thing. It's quite a demanding hairstyle, so I have my hair regularly shaped. Luckily my mum is a hair stylist, which also makes it easier to experiment with other hairstyles.

I do dye my hair, but not particularly often, and its just to add a bit more energy to my quite dull brown.

I cut my hair as necessary (and lament about how often I have to cut it) but otherwise I do next to nothing with my hair. Since it's usually kept short, there's not much I can do with it anyway. But I don't really have a problem with those who do care for their hair a lot... some hair styles/types simply need more care and sometimes it's nice to change your style a bit...

    First off: Best. Title. Ever.

My hair, well it's crazy. Not Iris crazy ( my avatar <3 ), but yes, for a guy my hair is pretty damn crazy (combination of curls, straights, and waves, about neck-length). Because of that, I tend to... just not care.

I let my hair just... flow to its natural will. Let it be shaped to what it wishes to be shaped. Some mornings I can comb it back, some mornings I can't. That's ok, because my hair deserves freedom.

Although, I never said I cared much about what my hair decides, my parents do indeed seem to care, and they enslave my hair decisions the chances they get >__> I get pissed at them the most easily for that.

Best of all, which derives from how attractive my hair is and how much I don't mind its looks, babes like to pet my hair and just grab it....

and well... I mean that in the "hot girl" sense... and literally, a 14 month old kid sense as well XD Kids also just like to pull on my hair.

Hair is awesome. I tend to keep my hair in layers, and in purple streaks. If my streaks wash off, I immediately add color again. I have an obsession in adding color in my hair. It looks boring without it.

My messy brown hair must be PERFECT at all times. I'm seriously more obsessed with my hair than you are. My hair is really weird because once I get it the way I like, the slightest touch will make the whole thing spring in random directions...which annoys me greatly. :P
