    The Overlord's thread on luck brought about this curious thought in me, do you gamble? If you do, are you good/bad. Do you do it often? If no, why don't you? It can be in card games like Poker or Texan Hold 'Em, or through dares and such. Have fun!


    Personally, I never gamble in games like poker. I have friends who I watch play Texas hold 'em, and a good couple are in debt. I don't have much on me, so the last thing I need is to be broke, or worse, in debt.


    I do do the occasion dare for a dollar, though. It's fun, for me. =D
     
    I used to play texas hold em online when I had the time. Don't really have many chances to waste 4-5 hours on playing through a tournament anymore.

    I enjoy the game, was never really into the gambling side of it. Play micro limits
     
    The most I'd ever do is put money in one of those UFO catcher machines. That's kind of like gambling, right?

    I don't feel like risking my money. I'm way too cautious to do stuff like that. It's so ingrained in me that I don't even gamble in games that have gambling-like aspects to them and no real money is at stake.
     
    I hate slots. I enjoy roulette. I usually win about half of what I started off with.. but that's probably because I know when to stop.
     
    I have never been to casino before, if I could I would go. Its not considered gambling since I don't loose any real money but I do play lots of casino games, the Hoyle brand.

    I'm pretty good at Blackjack and Pai Gow Poker, and various Poker games (texas hold em, omaha hold them and 5 card stud). I tried playing Craps but I don't understand the game too well
     
    Never gambled irl. I want to go to a casino sometime because I'm now of legal age and want to try it at least once.

    I've played casino video games before, though. My favorites were blackjack and roulette and sometimes slots. When there's no money at stake, it's very fun to play. I'm not sure how I'd handle a real casino, though. I'd have to set a budget like my grandma does so I don't get in too deep.
     
    I don't gamble. Mostly due to the facts;
    A) I'm too young.
    B) It's stoopid.
    C) R3A||Y STOOPID.

    That's very judgmental of you.

    I don't gamble myself, I'm very cheap with my money as it is and I never spend it even on sure things, so spending it on gambling just seems like throwing it away for me. Plus I have terrible luck; if I have a 50/50 shot at getting the right choice and I choose randomly, I'll be wrong 80%+ of the time.

    Ordinarily I'd be all like, WHERE'S THE CONFIDENCE INTERVAL, etc etc but screw it. Funnily enough I know where you're coming from. In my college chemistry class, my teacher would ask me a question where I had a 50% chance of getting it right or wrong and majority of the time, I got it wrong >__<

    As far as gambling goes, I've never really done it before but I wouldn't be strictly opposed to it. I'd have to set a strict amount of money to gamble with though but otherwise I see it as entertainment. You pay for entertainment and winning money is an added bonus, whereas with standard entertainment you can't get your money back.
     
    I've made some joke bets with friends and I think we've wagered food between each other before, but that's as far as I've ever gone. Haven't been to the casinos before, at least not when I was of age.
     
    I don't gamble simply because I know I'll get addicted to it xD If you make one big win then you're going to assume you'll do it again :p (at least I would), so yeah, I try to stay away from gambling when possible as I tend to get carried away haha.
