I sleep on 3,000-year-old stone floors in a monastery

Not really, though I wish I did

What do you prefer to sleep on? Do you insist on the fluffiest of beds that you can sink your body into, or something that's elastic but firm? Or, do you prefer sleeping on a mat or without a bed?

For years when I was a kid I'd sleep on the floor with a light blanket and single pillow out of preference. Over the past few years that hasn't been made an option, however my futon is now officially possessed by demons and I'm taking it to the dump so I can sleep on my floor. I don't know why, but I guess that sleeping without a bed feels better as it causes me to align my body in a way that's balanced structurally, instead of letting a mattress absorb it. I like how firm it is, and how comfortable it is sleeping lightly. :)

I like to have something that's soft enough it's comfortable, but firm enough that it doesn't hurt my back.. super soft is still my main preference, though, lol.

I love my bed. I have a memory foam mattress. 11" thick with memory foam. It's not a name brand, but I preferred it over everything else in the store because I found those to be too firm for me. This one's literally perfectly in the middle for me. :)
With 1,600 tc Egyptian cotton sheets.. they feel all silky-soft. but I'll probably be redoing my bed in silk or satin sheets and pillowcases soon enough.
My pillows are some variation of 'never go flat' pillows. Granted, I have 4, but even after 2 years they're still thick enough that just one will support your head/neck nicely, too. I don't need to pile them up. They've got soft-ish memory foam inserts inside to keep them supportive.

Did I mention I love my bed? <3

Hmm... that's a pretty good question...

I've taken a bit of a liking to the futon that I used to have, as it had no springs inside it like a traditional mattress. Still, anything that doesn't give me any pressure points & cause me to toss & turn is good for me.

But still, none of that matters if my bedroom is excessively hot/humid...

Oh, the fluffiest bed would be the best! The fluffier the better, I would love to sleep on a pile of sheep. <3

Most of the time, I've sleep on fluffy beds but tbh I can sleep anywhere. I've slept on the floor many times, hell I've even fallen asleep while sitting at Taco Bell or McDonalds before.

I like a really firm surface. I got a new bed this past year and it's a lot firmer than my old one and I really love it. Not as firm as I would like, but it does the job. In the summer time one of my favorite places to nap is right out on the back porch. I really can't explain it but somehow it's just so comfy to me and the wood that it's made out of has this certain smell that I like and when the sun is beating down on me while I'm laying there I feel so good omg.

I like my bed to be firm yet soft. Was never a big fan of fluffy beds, since I typically just sink into the bed. Sleeping on the floor is cool too, but I need something to cushion my lower back, otherwise it just feels weird. Sleeping on a drawer is top though. You guys should try it sometime, best way to sleep ever.

Hmmm I kind of like both I guess. The bed I sleep in has a 4 inch memory foam topper on top of it, which I guess is pretty comfortable? Although I also don't mind the floor, though I haven't slept on the floor in years. My bed used to be the floor lol. I had a lifted up bed in my room a while back (kind of like a bunk bed but without the bottom bunk) that I put sheets all around to inclose the bottom and slept under there. I miss that so much lol. I love the feeling of laying on the floor if you've been bending over a lot or sitting down for a while. It cracks your back out and feels amazing. x3

So soft beds are good and floors are good too (carpeted floors anyways).
    ^__^

That's amazing. xD Reminds me of Boyfriend. He falls asleep so easily, even if he's doing something. (Though never when food is involved, so +1 to you.)

He was so excited to have grabbed a copy of Grandia a couple weeks ago, nostalgia and all.. Yet the first day he was playing, in the middle of the afternoon, I had to wake him up three times.
"Honey, I don't think you can cross the river there."
"You're really lucky the combat system is turn-based."
"All that dialogue would put me to sleep, too."

He sleeps like a log at night. Never really tired, per se, and it's not like he falls asleep at work. But if he's comfortable, he'll be out like a light. I don't know how you two do it, but I really wish I could learn, lol.

Am I the only one who finds beds uncomfortable at times...? During the summer especially, I feel like sleeping on the floor is the better option because it feels slightly cooler than my overpopulated mattress XD I used to have 2 large mattresses that was my bed, but then it became cumbersome to have to basically climb on to considering my height ;; So I asked my parents to remove one, and now I only have one.

I am very picky with my sleep. I suffer from insomnia, so it's already a hassle trying to get myself to fall asleep (and stay asleep) and when I'm not in my own perfected bed, it's even harder.

My bed at home is a double bed with 5" of very soft memory foam on top of the mattress. I have two non-feather pillows to rest my head on, plus two more on the other side of the bed that rest a little higher in case that's what I need on a particular night. Then I have one body pillow that helps me get comfortable on my side, since according to a sleep study I sleep best on my side. I have an older body pillow that lost some of its... er... fluff? It's shoved up against the wall because I'm too lazy to throw it out and it makes it easier to build pillow nests if I'm bedridden some days. I don't use sheets, but I have a light comforter as well as a microfibre blanket which is probably seeing its last days now that we're heading into summer.

I sleep well enough on that bed but when I travel, it gets kind of iffy. The bed at my dad's house is almost identical, minus the pillows, but my bed at my mom's house is a single bed that's way too high for me, squeaks when I move in it, and is just generally uncomfortable. When my brother isn't also staying at her house, I can sleep in his bed but the memory foam on his is much firmer and I usually wake up with back pain if I sleep in it for too long. :( And don't even get me started on hotel beds.......
