If your favorite character was in the Pokémon world...

Bold of you to ask this question and assume most of our favourite characters aren't from Pokémon, lol

Just today I was asking myself that question as regards Star Trek! By chance, I found out that the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga did a gag about Ash nicknaming his Pikachu "John Luke Pikachu" after Captain Jean-Luc Picard from TNG. It's all fine and dandy, but I think there's someone else whom I'd find adorable with a Pikachu: Christopher Pike, especially as played by Anson Mount! Bonus points if said Pikachu is like the Partner Pikachu and has the same hairstyle as its Trainer - Pike-achu's Peak-achu. However, I wouldn't mind seeing him with a Raichu (in either variant) either.

I was also thinking of which Pokémon could represent Porthos, Captain Archer's dog from Enterprise. Porthos is a Beagle, but I don't think Smeargle quite fits the bill. Archer most likely go with a Mon that more closely resembles an actual dog instead, such as Herdier, Rockruff, Electrike/Manectric or Yamper. Oh, and the Porthos from the Mirror Universe is a Rottweiler, so Mirror!Archer would have a Houndour/Houndoom.

Then, I believe the Espurr line would be perfect for any of the Vulcan (and as of Discovery S3, Ni'Varian) characters, because, like them, they control their emotions so that their powers or natural instincts don't take over. It's also hard not to see a bit of T'Pol from Enterprise in the female Meowstic... although that part may also be because I kinda dislike both of them. On the other hand, I also believe an Espurr would be a perfect stand-in for Data's cat Spot... but Spot is female, and perhaps a male Meowstic would suit Data better.

Lastly... I was thinking of what kind of derogatory reference to Discovery I could make in a Pokémon fanfic, and came up with the idea of totally-not-Stamets keeping an entire colony of Shroomish/Morelull captive for their spores - only for the Shroomish/Morelull to mass-evolve into Breloom/Shiinotic and turn on him as well as the entire crew of that spaceship. Mycelial network indeed.

My top 5 fictional characters (who aren't from Pokemon) are:

1. Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd (Fire Emblem)
2. Kamisato Ayato (Genshin Impact)
3. Mujin (Chang Ge Xing)
4. Diego Brando (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure)
5. Jaden Yuki (Yu-Gi-Oh!)

Dimitri would use a Luxray for obvious reasons. Ayato would use a variety of water-type Pokemon as his element is Hydro, but I would like Vaporeon to be his signature Pokemon. As for Mujin, Mudsdale would fit him because Mujin comes from a culture that is associated with steppes/deserts and horseriding. Diego has a Stand that makes him transform into a dinosaur, so dinosaur Pokemon like Tyrantrum and Rampardos are ideal for him. Jaden uses a superhero themed deck, but there aren't that much superhero themed Pokemon out there, but something like a Blaziken would maybe fit him?

hmmm... not sure who to go with. Atm the only favorites coming to my mind:

1. Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher).... Aegislash and Bisharp, since he uses swords? =P
Maybe a Polteageist as a reference to his potions.

2. Tali'Zorah (Mass Effect).... not sure. She is a technician and engineer, so Klinklang is the only thing that comes to mind that I think fits with that.
Magnezone fits too actually, sort of the Pokemon equivalent of her drone. Maybe additionally a Magearna? Kinda robot like so it would fit a technician/engineer I guess.

I've watched so many anime that I'm not even sure who my favorite character is anymore, so I'm going with one of my original favorite characters as well as my namesake when I first joined PC back in the day: Koga (Inuyasha).

I'd give the leader of the wolf demon tribe a Midday Lycanroc as a general representation of wolves, as well as Manectric for the Goraishi, the lightning claws that fused with him in the Final Act. Maybe Lucario, a Steel-type lupine, with the egg moves Vacuum Wave and High Jump Kick. Koga's name means "iron fang," his inhuman speed is accelerated by vacuum waves, and he's often seen fighting with his powerful legs.

EDIT: In terms of favorite human character, a few that come to mind include Kyo from Fruits Basket, Kanata from Daa! Daa! Daa! (UFO Baby), and that lovable idiot Kana from Minami-ke.

Kyo would obviously have a cat, probably Litten. I could also see him with a Tyrogue or one of its evolutions since he trains in martial arts. As for the other two... I guess Kanata (along with Miyu) could have a Cleffa to represent baby Ruu, and maybe Meowth to represent the talking, cat-like sitter-pet, Wanya. It's been several years, so I'd have to rewatch the series for any more ideas. Kana would have a Heracross based on her pet rhinoceros beetle, though I could also see her with Psyduck and Bibarel (dummies), Scrafty (SHE IS BOSS), Steenee (pigtails, middle sister), and Furret (similar faces) if she had a team of six.
