i'm finally getting these braces off forever

i am like 99% done and will never have to do anything but wear a retainer after next month
i am so happy.... this is my second time bc they messed up the first go around and trust me i can guarantee my time in braces has been longer than yours

did you ever have braces or whatever in your lives
are you freed yet.

Yep! I had braces from the start of sixth grade to eighth grade. Having braces was okay - it took a while to get used to but after a month, I hardly noticed that they were there. Getting them tightened was always a pain though. Also retainers are so much better than braces! The first three months are a little annoying because you're supposed to wear them all the time, but after that you only have to wear them at night. It's great. :D

I wore them twice in a span of my 12-18 year old life. I absolutely hated them and made the unfortunate decision to get the clear ones. Aka, they broke frequently and looked horrid.

I still don't wear my retainer though :/ My teeth have stayed aligned for the most part, but I do regret not wearing it.

I kept getting told by people "oh, you'll need braces" "just wait until you have braces, you're sure to need them!" My teeth have always been a bit off, but not terribly so.

I think even my dentist mentioned them once or twice, or someone at the dentist's office did.

I never ended up needing them enough to get them.
So much for that certainty.

I had them from about 16-19, and they didn't bother me too much. Well, unless a bracket broke, then they bothered me a whole lot.

I'm bad about my retainer though. I think they're still pretty straight though. Either way, it's a hell of an improvement over how my teeth used to be.

holy crap i am so happy for you. i had braces for two years and i thought THAT was awful. i got them early too, when i was 12. honestly it was pretty much perfect.

I was offered bottom braces, but I opted out because it's not like you go around smiling with your entire mouth and show off those lol. My top teeth are straight so.

My sister on the other hand had braces all through high school and she's having to get them again because her teeth are messed up still. And on top of that, she has to get a surgery done. rip sea star

Only person in my family that does not need braces. I am lucky. I guess braces is a hereditary thing because mom, dad, two sisters, aunts, uncles, grandma, grandpa, pretty much everyone had to have them...but for some reason I ended up not needing them!!!
