I don't even know how internet gets to islands like Australia. Like is there underground tunnels of fibre-optic cables the size of rooms or something tunneling under the Indian Ocean to Eurasia or something?

I'm sure internet gets to Australia the same way it gets to America lol.. there's no specific central place of origin :p

obv :p

What I was wondering was if there were cable tunnels or networks of satellites or whathaveyou… thinking about it the latter seems familiar :P

I fixed it. You're welcome :p

Which doctor is the one in your avatar he's my all time favorite one, way better than the bowtie cowlick guy imho D:

I just remembered reading something about DNS nodes, so that may have something to do with the origin of the internet. Not really sure, but it's a thought :p

I think those DNS nodes kind of link everything together, maybe :s

Hey, Matt Smith is cool too! :( But yes, David Tennant is kind of the best doctor imho

Yeah, he was the first one I saw any of, but when I actually got into DW for a bit it was Matt Smith. :/

ARE YOU GUYS TALKING DW /falls in

Zach, you can't really judge then :p Martha is good in some ways, Donna is so much fun and Amy and Eleven's story is just adorable until the end. But yeah, I'll always love Rose. And Ten is my favorite Doctor.

So it seems there is Doctor Who talk going on...

Get to watching then, Khilia ;) You can start in Season 5 if you want the juicy parts off the bat. Somebody might hit me for saying this. But I think if you're not half-in love with David Tennant after seeing pictures of the tenth Doctor, I think you'll enjoy Eleven's run more and then you can go back and see S1-S4 to broaden your DW knowledge and get all the fantastic Nine/Ten adventures that have become classic by now.

Or maybe you want to watch Blink or Silence In the Library first... Hmmm. Yeah, if someone doesn't fancy Tennant but want to watch DW, you should start with the episode from S3 called Blink. Then the S4 episodes Silence In The Library and Forest Of The Dead. Then jump to Season 5 :3

What's that, you say? We're not in the DW fanclub? Oops.

I lol at their nordic translation of Bad Wolf Bay. It should really be Ondulvstranden or something. Not "dålig" :p

Doll-iks. That's how I say it. :p

I never have time for much TV anymore, sadly. Doctor Who is a show like Breaking Bad that just drains me after 1 episode, each of them feel like an entire movie all on their own gdi ;_:

I'm so used to shows with one hour time slots that anything else feels weird to me now. I'm used to setting out an hour-long block of time for these things and with shorter shows, I end up having to wait a few weeks so I can catch up on a bunch at once or else I feel unsatisfied, haha.

I don't watch a lot of TV though. I think all I'm keeping up with right now is Game of Thrones. :s

The last TV series I reallllly got hooked on was Breaking Bad. Man I was watching whole seasons in a couple of days at one point.

I couldn't get into Breaking Bad. I mean, granted, I only watched the first episode but it was... not what I thought it was.

I was so sure anything with that kind of premise would have to be a black comedy to offset the sadness of the idea. I wasn't ready for or expecting a serious show. :(

Yeeaah it does take a few episodes to get fully into it! But when it gets to the later series they give you some serious cliffhangers. Leading to 3/4 hour Netflix sessions. o_O bye bye education and sleep.

Plus Aaron Paul was just brilliant throughout, and did provide some slight comic relief.

I watched like the first 10 or so episodes of Breaking Bad and really liked it but I completely forgot about it and now I no longer have netflix so I have no real way to watch all the episodes. The same goes for Doctor Who, my mom actually mentioned it the other day because she was watching Jeopardy when they said something about it and she remembered watching it and said she should get back into it.
