Do you have a favorite idiom or metaphor?

I frequently say "All roads lead to Rome" irl, typically when either driving/riding a car and the driver or myself makes a wrong turn/goes the wrong way. Like, I think I've consistently said it IRL for at least 4 years at a feeble attempt at optimism.

Growing up in the south "Bless your heart" was ubiquitous with every woman over the age of thirty. Kinda grew tired of it by 5 yrs old.

as for me... I just say whatever fits the situation. Should find a catchphrase I should stick to... aside from the standard idiomatic/hyperbolic expressions that standard US uses. I do say "F*k my life" a lot, but can't imagine anyone not.

My dad says "we'll cross that bridge when we get to it" a lot and I've adapted it in to my phraseology a lot too. One of my of my favorite things to say is "you do you" cause I just say it when I have no real opinion or suggestion on a situation like do whatever you want I don't really care lol.

"The lady doth protest to much, methinks"

"We'll cross that bridge when we get there."

"That train has sailed." (Yes, train, that's not a typo)

"Your guess is as good as mine."

"Take what's said with a grain of salt."
