    Are there any video game series you've been playing since the very first game was released? What continues to make the series appealing to you? If you started playing a series later, did you go back and play the earlier games, and what did you think of them if you did this? Is this something you plan on doing for any series you are currently playing and enjoying?
     
    Technically, Ratchet and Clank is the only one I can think of that I played from the first game. Although, I haven't touched any of them in years. I really should. Also TLoU but that's so new it hardly counts.
    I've played a few from the second game on I think, but yeah. I'm mostly newer to gaming as an invested hobby for the most part.

    I have been making a point of trying out older FF games/ones I've missed though. Before I had only played X and XII, now I've also played V, VI and IX. I'm excited to try VII, VIII, XIII, XIV and XV eventually too. Maybe some of the first few and spin-offs even. We'll see!
     
    I think the only series I've properly done this for is Pokemon? I started as a kid a few years after Red and Blue and have gone back to play them but I wouldn't say I've ever been around since the very start of any game series. I've gone back and played up to Morrowind in the Elder Scrolls too!
     
    The only one I can think of is Animal Crossing. I've been playing those since I was small child.

    I would play 50 sequels to Bully considering how much I enjoyed that game. Sadly there's yet to be even one.
     
    i usually jump on the bandwagon for games years later but i remember playing One Piece Treasure Cruise when it came out
    another game i played around release was Valkyrie Connect
     
    There were a few mobile games I downloaded on their launch day. Those were A3 (Act! Addict! Actors), Anidol Colors, Readyyyy (rip that game, tbh), Dream!ing, the rebranded Enstars games, and the English server for Revue Starlight. Been with those since day one.

    As for regular video games? None. All the video games I've played I played later into their life cycle, sadly. :x
     
    Not many unfortunately. Most games I tend to get into late. lol.

    The only ones I've been with since the beginning is Pokemon. lol. Although I did get Digimon World 1 as a kid, for some reason skipped World 2 (or didn't know about it), then got World 3. I also have gotten all 3 Yo Kai Watch games but I had already known about them for awhile. I've also been with the Kingdom Hearts series since the beginning as well and it's thanks to Kingdom Hearts that I got into the Final Fantasy series.

    However once I got into a series I went back and got all the games for them so I could play them and haven't regretted it since. Final Fantasy (I picked and chose which ones I wanted however), Persona, Ratchet & Clank, Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, too many to list honestly.
