Joining PC

I originally joined through interest in the hacks section. Oddly enough I don't go there anymore.
 
Went asked me this the other day, and I actually couldn't remember. XD As far as I recall, I was looking for help on...something to do with DPPt via Google, and PokéCommunity came up. I hung around for a couple of days as a visitor before signing up, 'cause it seemed like a pretty cool place.

But I've gotta say, out of all of the fandom communites I've ever been in, PokéCommunity is the nicest. Even with the nostalgia freaks and the trolls. I abandoned the Doctor Who forums within two weeks of registering because pretty much everybody was a huge hypocritical twit, and I've given up completely on LiveJournal communities because of the BNFs and drama-llamaing that accompany them. But PC I like very muchly. It's...friendly, I guess. :]
 
I was searching for some pokémon gold cheats and I came across shiny gold. I then got somehow attached to rom hacking and I would spend almost everyday at the library reading RH weekly or chatting with my pc friends on msn. I remember having to always bring my usb to the library just so I could get some tiles or tools. man have things changed. I believe I came somewhere near the beginning of the shiny gold swarm. My one friend regrets his join date because of this.
 
I swear it's the Raikou Special. That was my motivation, joined the Other Cards and Other Anime section [and the fire emblem thread], and it kinda took off from there.
 
Because at the time I was obsessed with the anime.
 
About two years ago I found the Game Dev section of PC, while searching for some info on one of the games, I was amazed by the quality of the fan games and it seemed like everyone was making one. Sadly, I never joined and stayed on another forum for about a year. After starting my own fangame there and being trolled for it loads, I finally found PC again and joined it.

I haven't regretted joining PC at all, there may be some imature mods and some annoying members that never seem to brake the rules however hated they become, but it's certainly way better than any other forum I've been on before.
 
I used to be into rom hacking. I was originally lured here by shiny gold, but stayed to learn hacking. Turns out I simply learned to leave hacking to those who can really do it well.
 
I think I joined for ShinyGold or some hack but I never even put my foot into the Hacking section.. Instead I went over to RP and most Pokemon discussion forums and such.
 
I joined because Sachiko(aka Angela) told me about this forum. Because I came from another forum that was getting a little crazy with their "rules". So she told me about this one and I loved it as soon I came in. Everyone is so laidback, but still enforce the rules. Without being too strict about it.

I was totally obsessed over the anime. So I wanted to chat with other people who were into the anime.
 
I was completely obsessed with PokeSpe in general about two years back (now I'm just obsessed with Red), so I wanted to join a forum where I can talk about PokeSpe. I traveled about, and eventually clicked on a link that led here. To my surprise, the default skin at the time was Forever Standing, and I also noticed the manga section, so I joined, and hung around for a bit, posting in GB Color more than anything. Eventually, though, I joined the PokeSpe Fanclub, and eventually after that (After a long hiatus), I started to hang out in OT where I still hang out today. Yeah. :3
 
Holy crap, now I have to think back, oh, say, six years or so. >.>

Uhhh... I think I joined because I followed a link from Serebii.net to PC. XD;; I stayed on PC because I found it had a more fun, informal atmosphere to SPP, and I made friends fast. People here have always been very friendly. Then I got banned, unbanned, modded and promoted a few times. In the end I got tired of it and was sick and began doing other things, so I was eventually destaffed for inactivity. Now I just drop in every so often, but I hope I stay this time. 8D;
 
I originally joined PC, way back when I first joined only, to trade pokemanz, and make a cool UU team on Fire Red. Quickly though I really got into the friendly Graphics Section here (Hey Loki XD) and thats what kept me here.

Even today I only really post there. Sadly Pokemon isn't enough to get me to log on here anymore :(
 
I joined here mainly for Pokemon game and anime discussion, but my activity ended up expanding into other sections as well, namely Pokemon Clubs, the trivia boards and New Users/Welcome. And maybe Other Voting Polls to a lesser extent.
 
I originally joined PC because I wanted to learn how to hack on a mac even though so many people said I couldn't. That was around two years ago, with my old account .-.
I eventually was able to do it, bottling advancemap and pksvui with wine. :3 It had a couple of bugs though. On Christmas, my dad bought me VMware Fusion and Windows XP, and I started hacking nonstop. .-. BUT, after a while, I got lazy, forgot about PC, made a new account, and now, I hang about in the Other Chat. :3
 
I joined because some users on Bulbagarden were talking about PC so I became interested and just made an account. That's it really.
