Like every other generation we have had in the past, six has also introduced a new region to us, known as Kalos.

What are our thoughts on this particular region--do we like, dislike, or are we neutral on it? What town, city, or route of Kalos would we say we are most fond of, and why so? Which location is our least favorite, and if we were to make any sort of change to this particular place to make it better, how would we go about that?

For me, I believe Kalos is a rather unique area; it's got a lot of features that previous regions did not, such as allowance of riding Pokémon. Of all its places, Lumiose City is my favorite, I would say; it's big, has lots of people around, and generally has a bright environment. If Pokémon world had existed and I were in Kalos, I would definitely consider residing here.

Somehow, Kalos struck me, so it quickly became my other favorite. When we're talking about places in the Pokémon world, nothing beats Lumiose City. Seriously.

I really like this region, even in spite of some of the negative things people have said about it. If they were trying to build off of France, I think it worked quite well for them. My favorite location in the games would be Anistar City, as it has that cool sundial and my personal favorite boutique in the game (and its music is elegant, also). Dendemille also has that big windmill, so there's that.

I really love the design of Kalos and how it captures a lot of French culture exceptionally well, such as the routes having alternate French names like "Avance Trail" for Route 2, or "Palais Lane" for Route 6 etc.

My fave areas have to be Anistar City, Snowbelle City and Lumiose City. They all have really beautiful scenery to them, along with having the best boutiques in the whole region and it also helps my fave items of clothing are from Snowbelle's boutique. Lumiose's Prism Tower really captures the image of Paris' famous Eiffel Tower really accurately as well.

I really love the Kalos region :)

I must have spent around 200 hours, literally just having a thorough exploration of the region ^_^.

sure there could have been a bigger post game, but the new features added in X/Y made up for that anyway

Kalos is a brilliant region and probably my 2nd favourite (after Hoenn ;) )

Kalos is alright, it's not the best but it's certainly not the worst Region. I had mixed feelings when travelling through Kalos, some areas and landmarks are stunning, then there's a couple of Towns that I'm not too fond of.

I loved Geosenge Town, mainly due to it's theme.
But I always hatched eggs in Camphrier Town because I thought the music was fitting for raising a baby pokemon.

Kalos is my second-favorite region after Hoenn.

Cities/Towns: I really like Lumiose City, Laverre City, Cyllage City, and Anistar City. My least favorite is Camphrier Town. I found it really boring/bland.
Landmarks: I liked Kalos Power Plant, Poke Ball Factory, and Lost Hotel. Also notable is that I'm not usually fond of caves in Pokemon, but I thought Glittering Cave was pretty and the one with the mirrors was neat.
Routes: I really liked Route 15 because of the music and autumn leaves. I didn't like 13 because of the Dugtrio and Trapinch with Arena Trap > . < The Dugtrio made me have to go back and heal before I could even get to the power plant.

Kalos is okay I GUESS. The graphics were gross and it was kinda boring, but it's still cool! (a bit too france-y though). Unova is better though. >:)

My least favourite place was Lumiose City! I got lost 100000 times! At sunset all the windows were a sickly colour and everyone was boring and ugly. YES I'M FLAMIN BIASED. Best things were the guys in the alleyways that threatened to hack your head off. >:D

My favourite place was Kiloude City! Reminded me of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The French Riviera is so awesome! Not over-populated and you get a cool dress! =D

Oh, and on the topic of least favorite areas in the game, I think mine would be Route 20, that forest between Snowbelle City and the Pokémon Village. I remember hating that forest a lot because I would have a really hard time finding out where to go, and that wasn't helped by the fact that some paths could end up going to different areas.

Personally, I find the games that introduce a new region tend to fade a little once the remakes/third-game come out. I mean, RS were great but FRLG were better, then Emerald made Hoenn great again. Same with DP - Platinum improved on Sinnoh vastly. And even in 5th gen, BW were really great games, but somehow B2W2 made Unova even better, through the reintroduction of older Pokémon and stuff.

For me, Kalos is currently in that state of "It was nice and new, but it's definitely dwindled a bit now that there's a newer game". Considering there's not much of a postgame to XY, it feels a little dead, or at least a little sleepy. Still, places like Lumiose City were nice endeavours into the 3D world, and I think they made a good call when it comes to taxis and stuff (I honestly still have problems finding my way around). But then you have the likes of Coumarine City, where you're forced to use a train to get from one part of the city to another. I really don't know why they bothered with that, it's more of an annoyance than anything.

Kalos could be great, and I look forward to seeing what they do with it in the inevitable next instalment. It'll be nice to see them flesh out certain aspects of Kalos' lore and characters, and whatever else they add.

Kalos is a cool region, it's great and varied and defined. Maybe it was just me, but I didn't really dig the French influences. They were cool and all, but it didn't push it into my tops. It didn't have the mysticism of Johto or the tight theming of Hoenn. It's not bad, by any means, and it can be very interesting. Just didn't grab me though.

Kalos definitely gave me a feel of France, especially when I was in Lumiose. It's like...wow, this is amazing! I ended up spending the majority of my gameplay there because there was just...so much to explore.

Anistar is my favorite city there, I adore the sundial, and the boutique has a lot of things I actually like than other boutique shops.

I still prefer Unova and its American city theme (oh dear the American likes the American themed region the most) to all the other regions, but Kalos was pretty good too. I especially liked Lumiose City, despite the fact that it really really needs a good, permanent mini-map or something. The only other good large city in the series (I'm talking about Saffron, Goldenrod, Mauville, Jubilife, and Castelia btw) is Goldenrod City.

I think that they even have just enough space to expand the map a bit, like how they did in Black 2/White 2.

Eh, I dunno. The more I play through Kalos, the less and less I like it and find more things wrong with it. Don't get me wrong, there were some things in Kalos I did like, such as Lumiose City (despite its frustrating camera issues) and Snowbelle City, and Reflection Cave was also pretty neat. What I don't like is the fact that it's pretty on-rails for most of the game. Then again, BW was like that, too, wasn't it? So I guess it's kinda a mixed bag for me.
