Appearance:​
At 170cm Jake stands a little shorter than most boys his age. His less than average stature is matched by his equally less than average build.

His pale complexion has as some would say a haunting appearance, the only colour on his face being the array of small freckles which bridge across his nose.

His medium length brown hair can usually be seen swept around all angles of his face. To say he was never someone who kept it in a neat and presentable way would be a huge understatement.

Jake can usually be seen wearing a heavy padded brown jacket which he always believes compliments his hair quite nicely, a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of what were once white trainers but have now been reduced to a pair of scuffed slightly brown tinged pair.

Jake also almost never leaves home without his backpack which is strange considering he almost never carries anything in it, at this stage it's become more of a habit than anything.


History:

Jake is an only child and was born in Vermilion City to his father who was a fisherman and his mother, who was a travelling Pokémon researcher. Jake doesn't remember much of Vermilion City as due to his father's longing for a quiet life in a small town, they upped sticks and moved to Pallet Town while Jake was still a young age.

As the years progressed, Jakes father started slipping into a state of laziness and contentment and as such continuously refused to get back to working. His mother continued her job working as an independent researcher and because of that spent a lot of time travelling around Kanto. This in turn put a strain on family life for Jake, without a mother to care for him and a father who remained less than interested in just about anything, Jake was forced to take care of himself for much of his childhood.

Jakes family soon became the gossip of the town, the child with a layabout father and a mother who was almost never there. He was bullied and picked on in school for this and because of his isolation from his family and the fact he had no friends, he was an easy target. His childhood years were tough but he always looked to Pokémon as his escape, his chance to prove to everyone that he is much more than he was labelled as.

This cycle continued for some years, it constantly chipping away at Jakes confidence, his demeanour and his overall trust in people. But as with years past, his heart always yearned for the day where he could escape it all.

Finally, the day had arrived, his big break. He ran out of the house, his father barely moving from his chair to see where he was going. He sprinted across to Professor Oaks laboratory, a place he had ogled for years but never dared step foot in there, but today, was the day.

He stepped inside and was greeted by Professor Oak, a man he had never seen until just this day. He was presented with a Pokédex (which he had no idea what it was but didn't care), a map and then, finally, the Pokéball. He thanked the professor profusely and then stepped outside, he released the Pokémon from its ball (after much fumbling around) and was greeted by a small little Swinub. He barely took the time to even introduce himself properly before he and Swinub raced off into the distance, ready to show the world what he's got.


Goals/Interests/Dreams:

Jakes main goal in his Pokémon journey is to rise above the meagre expectations that have been placed upon him by the people of Pallet Town, to show the people that labelled him and his father as layabouts, the people who bullied him and the general gossipers that given the opportunity, Jake can rise to become so much more. He has now finally been given the chance to do so, the question is, will he achieve it?


Strengths:
​
Jakes main strength is his ability not to give up, his entire journey rests on him becoming the best he can possible be and as such, Jake is absolutely determined to see things through to the absolute end. He believes that failure is not an option.

Jake is also a surprisingly adept climber for a boy his age. Most of his childhood years, while spent alone, did mean that Jake developed a trait for climbing trees or rocks or just about any other mountable object so he could relax and enjoy the outdoors.


Weaknesses:
​
Jakes main weakness is also his strength, his ambition to do well means that he is brash, foolhardy and most times, doesn't know when stop and think. This often leads to situations that could have been avoided had he taken the time to stop and think about things in a logical manner.

Another weakness and often one that Jake is quite hesitant to admit is an unfortunate trait that he picked up from his father, laziness. Jake, even though he has a burning passion to succeed, just cannot help but stop and laze about at times, he can often be caught sleeping in the day or resting under a tree while soaking up the rich atmosphere of the outdoors.

Jakes confidence and trust in people is also particularly poor, years of torment from fellow kids and a lack of a proper family structure means that Jake finds it very difficult to communicate properly and perhaps at times even more difficult to confide in anyone.


Quirks:

Jakes main quirk is that he will whisper to himself quite often in an act of thinking out loud, he believes it helps him analyse things better but more often than not, he is just labelled as a crazy person.

Name: Diego Gore
Age: 19
Gender: ♂​

Appearance: Diego, despite his age, looks much older and more masculine. He has silky, bushy brown hair and soft grey eyes, pronounced cheek bones, and his skin is a deep tan. He dresses in short sleeve shirts with open collars, but occasionally wears a long-sleeve button up shirt. Again, with an open collar. Dark jeans, and black boots make up the rest of his clothing. He also wears a gold chain necklace around his neck, with the sun as a pendant.

History: Diego was born into a family of... shady origins, from a far off region. Originally, his family was rooted in crime. But when his great, great grandfather had traveled to Kanto, something inside him changed drastically. He never disclosed what it was, but whatever happened to him was so powerful, it forced him to hastily return and destroy what his ancestors created. Now, the Gore family works against any and all organizations who wish to do harm to people and Pokemon.

No one in the family talks about their past. Not until new generations return from their own journey in Kanto.

This is Diego's 19th birthday, the age where children of his family travel to Kanto. They are to journey across the region, discover who they are, and achieve their own understanding of the world.


Goals/Interests/Dreams: Diego isn't even sure what his overall goal is, but he decided to take on the eight Gym Leaders, and shoot on becoming the next Champion. He does want to continue the legacy of his family, but he also wants to be like his father, and the men before him. Powerful figures that have helped to change the world for the better.

Strengths: Diego has a strong sense of understanding when it comes to Pokemon. He may not be able to understand what they're saying, but he can understand what they're feeling. He's also physically fit, and more than able to hold his own if he was attacked, for the most part. Obviously, he can't withstand a Flamethrower to the face, let alone a Fire Blast or a Hydro Pump to the back.

Weaknesses: Diego is almost too willing to throw himself into danger. His father once caught him trying to wrestle with his Krookodile, thinking he could take it down. He's prone to anger, stubbornness and a single train of thought. He's also immediately and utterly distracted by beautiful women, usually women that are older than him.

Quirks: Diego, as stated above, has the uncanny ability to understand a Pokemon's feelings. He's also good at understanding Pokemon's battle tactics and how they battle.​

also cinnabar is in the rebuilding phase after the volcano thing

Appearance:
She is slightly taller than Aberdeen, much to his chagrin, but then again he isn't exactly a tall guy (yet). She is quite thin, and is adamant about avoiding unhealthy food. Her skin is an olive tint under her brown hair, and her eyes are a dark brown that seems to shimmer in purple or orange at times.

Her usual attire on the road will consist of jeans shorts and long sleeved t-shirts in various colors. If there's a chill in the air, she has a blue jeans vest she likes to put on, along with a scarf (and also long grey jeans when needed). On her feet, Farin prefers to wear some kind of stylish sneakers, even on the journey. Her items are carried around in a brown leather shoulder bag, but a special belt sits loosely over her hips, featuring six magnetic slots for pokéballs.​

Brief History:
Farin originally lived in Hoenn, but she and her older sister Vanire moved to Kanto almost a decade ago to live with her aunt. The full reason was never really explained, and they never saw their parents again. This made Farin feel odd as she grew up, since all the other kids had two proper parents and she only had an eccentric aunt.

Vanire joined the gym as a regular trainer as soon as she was old enough, and for some years it was also Farin's dream to do that when she grew up. But then the Team Rocket scandal happened, and Farin changed her goals and aspirations, much due to the disappointment and feeling of betrayal that followed.​

Goals / Interests / Dreams:
After their first battle, Farin told Aberdeen that she was a trainer because she wanted to "get rich and famous". She is determined to surpass gym trainers (such as her sister) by being a traveling trainer instead, and making her name known wherever she goes. Part of it is still lingering grudge towards Giovanni and his dark money-making schemes. She wants to achieve wealth and fame the right way.

She cares a small bit about fashion. While she'd rather collect pokémon and battle items than shoes or bags, she will definitely appreciate a well dressed person she meets, or feel excited if she finally gets to visit the Celadon malls!​

Strengths:
Conviction
She has one broad yet very clear goal, and she is strongly determined to head towards it. This also affects other things in her life, letting her not give up - sometimes for a bit too long.

Goodly Lawful
However, she will not try to reach her goals through any means necessary. She is lawfully good and will always do her best to stay on the right side of the law, as opposed to Team Rocket.​

Weaknesses:
Strictly Lawful
While it sounds good on paper to follow rules strictly, if something seems nice and good but is illegal, Aberdeen might consider the situation there and then and opt for the thing that seems nicer short term, while it is likely that Farin would stick to what is Right By Law and Rules as often as she possibly can. Maybe some will think she has a cold heart for this.

Humor? Sounds redundant.
She is sometimes more annoyed with jokes than appreciative, and some jokes might even fly over her head. This doesn't mean that she isn't a nice person though! She can just have trouble appreciating jokes in crowds... Or in private.​
